"Sara James if you don't get ass out of bed I'll drag you out," my dad called from down stairs.
I didn't bother replying it's not like he really cares if I go to school or not he just wants me out of the house so he can have hookers over or get drunk without having to worry about me. I sighed, and got out of bed. I quickly made sure my door was still locked then grabbed my towel and went to shower. I got done and dried off. I walk over to my closet and picked my outfit out, and quickly got dressed. I made sure my clothes covered all my bruises. I was wearing a black long sleeves V- neck with a dark pair of jeans. I through on a pair of boots, and my heart locket. I grabbed my back pack and left my room. I listened hard to see if I could hear my dad. I heard a TV from down the hall coming from my dads room. So I ran down stairs and out of the house. I locked the door and made my way to school.
I got there ten minutes before school started, and everyone was already here early. I got myself ready in case any of them decided today was the day to realize I go to this school. I'm pretty sure only my two best friends and my teachers know I do. Everyone else doesn't.
I walked up the steps, and through the door making sure no one bumped into me since i was still sore from the other night. I made it to my locker safely, and was grabbing all my stuff when I had the feeling someone was behind me. I knew by the smell that it was Carter one of my best friends. Don't get me wrong he doesn't smell bad, I'm just so use to the smell of his colon.
"Hey Carter, whats up," I asked without turning around. I heard him groan from behind me. Carter and Reid, my other best friend, love to try and sneak up on me. But they always fail.
"I hate that you can do that!" He said leaning up against the locker next to mine. Carter is about 5'10 with medium length brown hair. He has a muscular body, and would probably be an amazing athlete but he only cares about art. He's an fabulous artist. He can draw, paint, sketch, anything artist can do he can. Unfortunately he's to worried that he sucks to show anyone other than Reid and I. He's also been my best friend for four years.
"But you still love me." I pointed out, while closing my locker and headed off to class.
"Yeah you got me there, but that's only because your the only one who puts up with me," he said. He took my stuff from me and followed my into our classroom.
"How many times do I have to tell you I can hold my own stuff." I growled at him. He just shrugged.
I was almost to my seat when someone I don't know ran into me causing me to fall to the ground. My body was still super sore, and I couldn't hold in the hiss of pain from slipping from my mouth.
"Oh my god Sara are you ok?" Carter pretty much screamed, while falling down next to me. "Whats your problem dude? You blind or do you find it fun to run into random people!" He yelled this at I'm guessing who ever ran into me.
"I'm really sorry, I didn't see her!" The guy said back.
"Whatever man, next time play attention." Carter said, and helped my up.Again I couldn't help the hiss of pain from slipping out. Of course both guys had to hear it just to make it worse.
"Sara are you ok? Is anything broken?" He asked me, then without waiting for an answer he turned to the guy who hit me. "I swear to god if you broke something I'll fucking kill you!" Crap I forgot how protected over me Carter was. Not wanting him to get in trouble for fighting I stepped in.
"Carter it's alright. I'm alright. I promise everything is good. So calm down please." I said quickly, stepping between them. The whole time I haven't even looked at the other guy. Carter looked down towards me, and looked into my eyes probably to see if I was telling the truth I guess he found what he wanted because he sighed and nodded his head. He looked up at the guy behind me, and hie eyes got a bit darker.
"Sorry about that. Just worried about my friend." He said taking my arm, and leading me to our sits. The guy who hit me grabbed my other arm, and pulled me to face him. I quickly pulled my arm from his, and made sure that my hair was hiding my face from him. I think he realized I was trying to make sure I didn't look at him or have him look at me.
"I really didn't mean to bump into you, I promise," he said. he probably thinks I don't want to look at him because I'm mad he hit me. But really I just don't want him to see my ugly face, and then have to hear him complain about it. My dad always told me I was ugly, fat, stupid, and a waste of space. At first I didn't let his words get to me, but after seven years it just kinda stuck with me.
"Its alright, I know you didn't do it on purpose. All is forgot, alright." I said, and walked away towards my sit.
"What he want?" Carter asked as soon as I sat down.
"Just to say that he was sorry."
"Well he's staring at you and it's really starting to bug me." He said, and I noticed his hands were in fists.
"Just ignore it Carter. He's probably just wondering if I'm ok or what to do. You know since he is new here. He's probably worried that your gonna beat him up later." I said as the teacher walks in.
"I will if he doesn't look away soon." Carter said back in a hushed tone.
"Please you hate fighting you only do it if you think you need to stick up for me. You won't even do it for your self or Reid."
"That's only cause Reid can by far stick up for him self. You on the other hand let people walk all over you and I hate it, so does Reid."
"No one even knows I'm alive Carter. So in return they don't bother me." I said back and open my book and took out paper to do notes on.
"Whatever, Sara. It's all the same . Besides no one notices you because you make sure they don't."
"Yeah because that's the way I like it." I said, and then I tuned him out for the rest of class so I could focus on my notes.
The whole time I felt the eyes of the kid who hit me, staring at me.
