Chapter One: Unstoppable

It's December 6, 1941. My name is Destiny & I'm a 13 year old. I was watching my favorite Christmas movie, "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." I was getting tired but I tried to keep my eyes open. I finally fell asleep. The next day was December 7, 1941. I woke up to a very loud *KABOOM!* I immediately checked my phone to see what was up. I got a radar alert and it read: "Warning: This is NOT a drill. Japan attacked the U.S. naval base in Hawaii. Stay safe and may God be with you all."
I freaked out!  I turned on the television. An alert started beeping. The alert was loud and it woke up my dad. My dad said, "would you turn that off?" He finally read the screen, but he wasn't scared.
My dad always says "I'm not afraid of anything because I'm tough!" I always knew that wasn't true. I went outside to look at the damage and I'll tell you, there was a lot of damage. To flipped over cars to street lights on houses, it was crazy! I heard another *KABOOM!* I immediately ran back inside. But right when I was opening the door, my friend Cadence stopped me to see if we wanted to hand out. I told her to run over here and get inside my house. I started hyperventilating when I went inside. Cadence asked me " What's wrong?" I told her everything and we went inside my room. At this time my mom was still sleeping because it was so early. I told Cadence to get under my bed and cover yourself with stuffed animals. Clearly I overreacted about this. At this time I was thinking this was the end of the world!
I heard knocking on my door. I knew who it was immediately. I went to open the door and as I thought I was Candence' sister Naomi. She saw I was hyperventilating and sweating and asked she asked "What is up with your face?" I told her the big news. I also told her to "Get under my bed, quick!" We all heard a loud *KABOOM!* At that time our house caught on fire because of an atomic bomb. There was also a big tsunami that had washed away most of the city I lived in. My house was quickly washing away. I started screaming "I LOVE YOU GUYS!" Our house was washed away within a blink. As the tsunami slowly washed away I hugged my friends. I quickly remembered what my dad said and went to go check on him. He was alright. I ran to my mom's room but unfortunately my mom was screaming. My mom had a wood stump lodged in her stomach. I immediately called 911. They came quick!
On the way to the hospital, my mom passed away. I started screaming and crying. They ambulance car stopped and tried doing CPR but it didn't work. I still remember everything my mom has done for me. I still hear her voice at night saying "Goodnight, I love you."
