Late Night Kisses

"You know we cant keep doing this.", I tell her as we part our lips from a particularly steamy kiss. She pulls back and looks from my eyes back to my slightly swollen lips. She looks at them for a couple of seconds before leaning back in for another kiss. I turn my head and let her lips graze my cheek. " Dinah.", I say, my tone putting a stop to the line of kisses she was leaving down the cheek to the side of my neck. She pulls back her breath ragged, swallows roughly and looks down. Stopping her from loving on me has always been one of my least favorite things to do, especially now that our time together is so limited.

"I know, Mani.", she sighs, still looking down when I bring my fingers to her chin and usher her face to mine. I stare at her for a moment. I mean really taking in the beauty that I get to call my girl, if not in public then at least in private. I give her a peck on the lips, and she signs. " How am I supposed to just stop," she swallows back a small sob like sound, "just stop waning to be with you? How do they expect me to do that?" she asks me tears threating to fall from those pretty eyes that won my attention in the first place. I can't answer her . I don't know how to. So I simply grab her hand and bring it to my lips and give it a peck.

"Come on", I say letting go of her hand and reaching back to put my seatbelt on. "It's getting late, I have to get you home." She closes her eyes, sits her head backand lets out a deep sigh, before looking over to me again. "Come on," I say again "Seat belt."

I pull up to the street that her house is on and park just short of a stop light. I look over to her, her face looking out of the window the glass fogging up slightly from how her breath is hitting it. "fuck I love this girl." is the mantra that is playing in my head as she moves her hair from one side of her neck to the other.

"Hey", I let my hand caress the side of her neck  so she would look at me, "We'll figure something out alright" , I flash her a hint of a smile, hoping I would get one in return. She has a beautiful smile even when its hiding behind those long, tan fingers of hers. She looks at me for a second before leaning in and giving me a kiss on the lips and I return the kiss but cut it short, in fear that one her many family members may be lurking around. She notices the quickness of the and rests her head on my shoulder defeated.

"I wished they'd just get over it. " She says into my shoulder then inhales.

"Me too, baby girl, me too." I state while rubbing my hand up and down her back. I tap her sides as a signal for her to let me go and to get inside, which she does, but not before pressing one last kiss to the side of my head.  She opens the door to get out of the car then turns around.

"See you tomorrow?" she asks me her eyes looking hopeful.

"Same time. Same place. I'll be here."  I respond with a full smile this time. She mouths a silent okay and smiles a bit, before heading down the path to her house. I stay where I am at until I see her open the door and get inside safely, before heading down the road towards home.
