Slowly, wearily, I awake to the sound of my mother's knocking on the door.
"Come on boys. We have to go, now!" Mom calls, opening the door.
"Only take what you need." Momma adds, a hand in her hair in a stressed way.
I hastily wake Seishun and gather my things, supervising my younger brother's packing. At this moment, I have so many questions. Where are we going? Why? What's happening? Why is momma so stressed? I guess I'll have to find out another day. I just want to know where we're going, that's all.
Hurrying up my brother, I practically shove him out the front door in an attempt to speed him up. Soon enough all our bags are in the car and we're leaving.

My pale blue eyes scan his sleeping face for any kind of discomfort, but find none. I eventually start drifting off into a state of blissful sleep...
I awake a few hours later, it can't have been that long since it's still dark out and Seishun is still sleeping, whereas he's usually the first to wake up. When I hear my mothers' voices, I pretend to sleep so I can listen.
"We didn't sign up for this Cheryl. We didn't. Was it the right choice to adopt them?" Momma asks, hurting my feelings slightly.
"Of course we did, Hazel. We adopted two beautiful gods and now we're doing our part as parents and keeping them safe. Okay?" Mom replies, and I can hear her playing with her long skirt.
Gods? What do they mean? But before I have a chance to ask, we've stopped. We've never been here before, where are we? It's hard to see. I don't like it... I just want to go home...
