Gareth woke to the sound of the shower from the next room, "Dan is in the shower" he thought. Dan. A name only he could use. Daniel didn't let anyone else call him this. Gareth treasured this. He got dressed and made his way to the kitchen, where Daniel had made him breakfast, as he did every Sunday. Daniel walked in to the kitchen and ate with gareth, as they did every morning. Gareth was unsuspecting of what would come the next day, as this day seemed perfectly normal. He tried not to think of anything bad, even though he needed to tell Dan that he was now unemployed. "Dan..... I need to tell you something... " "What is it gareth? " Daniel said, with worry in his voice, "I lost my job at McDonald's," gareth mustered through tears
"Aww are you OK? Don't worry I can help! I will get a second job whiel you take care of Jimmy " Jimmy, was the pet gecko that they adopted as there own. "OK" gareth said, crying into Daniels sweatshirt as Dan held gareth tightly in his arms, gareth surrounded by the warm feeling of happiness and love.
