He grabs hold of Set's wrist "You will let him go now!" His crimson gaze glares at the Priest
The Priest looks at his king stunned "But my king this boy is nothing to you"
"Don't make me say it again"
"Let the boy go" Set commanded the guards and the guards obeyed
He let go of Set and walks over to Yugi "Are you alright? Did they hurt you?"
Yugi shakes his head "I'm fine it just scared me a little"
He turns to Set "If you harm a hair on this boy's head I will make you regret it" he turns to Yugi "Care to accompany me back to the party?"
Yugi smiles and takes the pharaoh's hand "Of course"
The pharaoh leads the way through the palace back to the throne room where the party was being held. He sits in his throne with Yugi standing beside him. Set and Solomon had followed them back as well. He watched as the festivities continued around him.
He stood up and the whole room fell silent with everyone looking at him.
"My people. I thank you with all my heart for joining me in celebrating my coming of age party. I have decided that I will not yet be married as I believe that no one should be force into marriage no matter what their status. From the king to the lowest of servants all of us have a right to fall in love then marry" he bows "Please enjoy the festivities"
The whole room exploded into cheers and applause. He sat back down and looks at Yugi who looked back and smiled
"Amazing speech my king" came a familiar voice
He turned and came face to face with his strongest magician and good friend
He gets up and hugs him "Mahado you made it"
Mahado smiles "I wouldn't miss it"
Yugi tries not to jump with excitement "Master!"
Mahado places a hand on Yugi's head "You're looking well my student"
Yugi smiles "I've gotten a lot stronger Master"
"You will have to show me later" Mahado turns to the pharaoh "I come with news about the Thief King"
He places his hand on his friends shoulder "It can wait for now join us in the festivities"
Mahado bows "I shall thank you my king"
Mahado joins the mass of people. He gets up and helps himself to the food along with Yugi then he talks among his people for a while.
He soon grew tired and looks at Solomon and Set "I will retire for the night"
They bow "Goodnight my king" they spoke in unison
He walks to his room closely followed by Yugi. He enters his room and turns to see Yugi stand at the door.
He holds out his hand "Please stay with me tonight"
Yugi seemed hesitant but then he remembered his Grandfather telling his he was to be a gift for the king's birthday so he enters and takes the pharaoh's hand
They stare into each other's eyes for what seemed like forever
The pharaoh leans closer taking Yugi's hand and placing it on his cheek "Yugi may I kiss you?"
Yugi blushes pink "I am your gift you may do with me what you wish"
He turns away from Yugi "You are not a thing that can be given away as a gift you are a person who can choose for himself..."
"Then kiss me now please my king" Yugi interrupted grabbing the pharaoh's cape
The pharaoh turns around pulling Yugi into his arms and deeply kissing the smaller male. Yugi wraps his arms around the pharaoh's neck opening his mouth for the king. The pharaoh slides his tongue into Yugi's mouth their tongues wrestling each other.
Yugi pulls back panting "My king I love you"
For a moment his heart stopped then he smiles pulling Yugi into a tight embrace "And I love you"
They lay together in the pharaoh's bed and fall asleep
The next morning Yugi slowly wakes and looks at the king sleeping peacefully.
He smiles and gently shakes him "My king wake up it's a beautiful morning"
The pharaoh slowly wakes and smiles seeing Yugi "Beautiful morning indeed"
Yugi blushes and giggles as the pharaoh gets up and the servants dress him "I have to attend a council meeting you are free to go wherever you wish" he kisses Yugi's forehead "I will come for you when the meeting is finished"
Yugi smiles "I'll be waiting"
The pharaoh leaves the room. Yugi gets up and let's the servants dress him. He then goes out to the palace garden and practices his magic
Several hours later the pharaoh finds Yugi in the garden. He sighs contentedly as he watches the little magician "I have to do it for him"
Solomon frowns at the king "You don't have..."
"My decision is final" he interrupts the older man
Yugi turns and sees the pharaoh "My king!"
The pharaoh walks up and hugs Yugi "Forgive me for taking so long"
Yugi hugs back "You're here now"
He pulls back from the smaller boy and smiles.
Mahado approaches them "Excuse me my king but may I have a word with my student?"
The pharaoh steps back. Yugi looks at his master.
"Walk with me Yugi" Mahado invited
Yugi walks through the garden by his master's side
"I see you have been practicing and have become a strong young magician Yugi" he says looking at Yugi
"It's all thanks to your teachings Master" Yugi smiles
"I need you to do something for me" Mahado's tone suddenly became very serious "It's something only you can do"
"What is it Master?" Yugi looks puzzled
"I need you to protect the king in my place" Mahado said looking at Yugi "Promise me"
"Master..."
"Promise me" Mahado looks serious
"I promise" Yugi said to his master
Mahado smiles "Thank you I know the king will be safe in your hands" with that Mahado turned and walked away
Yugi watched his master's back still confused. Why did his master ask him such a thing?
