Chapter 26

Oh Tardis

A few TARDIS days later. Or five months in boring human time. *grumble grumble.

Doctors POV

"Can we continue the date now?"

"Give me a moment Shannen"

"How about... Now?"

"Shannen, a moment"

"Now?"

I groaned and turned around. My fiancée was standing behind me, frowning slightly as she carried a toolbox. I had promised we would continue our date, but never gave a specific date or what we would do. At this current moment, we were fixing the Tardis Console because I might have kicked it a bit too hard?

"Fine, where do you want to go?" I asked her, taking the toolbox from her hands.

"Anywhere" she smiled.

"How about a different era?" I added, placing the toolbox on the floor.

"Sure, why not" she grinned.

I ran round the console, flicking switches and pulling a random lever. Instantly the Tardis began shaking violently, I pulled myself back up and grabbed Shannens hand, pulling her next to me.

"Hold onto that lever, do not let go" I told her.

She nodded as I grabbed my goggles and blowtorch and walked down to the layer beneath the console floor. I crouched down and began fixing a broken circuit.

"Doctor?" Shannen called out

"Yes dear?" I asked, looking up.

"What are you doing exactly, she's fine" Shannen replied, crossing her arms.

"How do you know? I asked her, standing back up and walking to Shannen.

"She's not letting me hold the lever down, she made it incredibly hot" She nodding slightly.

"Oh right" I murmured, dropping the blowtorch into the tool kit.

"You know, you don't look half bad with those steampunk goggles on" Shannen smiled,folding her arms again.

"Oh really!" I asked her, puffing out my chest.

She grinned as she walked towards me. She placed her hands either side of the goggles and pulled them off. She winked at me before putting them on herself.

"Yeah, you look kind of, sexy, but I look much better" she sighed, pulling me back round the console.

"Alright then, you go get changed into something fifties-ish, I'll fly us" I smiled, pointing to the stairs.

I quickly tugged off the goggles from her and laughed, pulling them back on and getting back to work. I heard her reach the stairs and I peered round, watching her rush up happily, laughing to herself.

I grinned and pulled out the blowtorch once more.

Shannens POV

I beamed happily as he mentioned the 50s. I kissed his cheek before running off, laughing. I felt his stare on my back as I raced up the small staircase but I ignored it.I found my way to the wardrobe quicker than times before. I walked up the spiral staircase. I looked around the dresses till I found one that looked great.
