nobody knows- mansionz

Harsh rays of sunlight shine through white curtains giving the imitation of fire burning paper. My room is the equivalent to my mind. Childhood trophies to remind me of my once social past. Sun bleached pictures scattered on the floor. Simply because I am a mess.

I stretched my arms over my head, my toes curling in the process. moving the fuzzy gray blanket, I swung my legs over the edge of my bed- slightly shivering as my bare feet hit the cold wood.

A yawn escaped my mouth as I slowly made my way to the bathroom, dreading today. It's a Tuesday. I only like Monday. I looked in the mirror and sighed. Bland, fluffy, blonde hair. brown eyes and a tall frame.

Pushing my curly hair out of the way, I tugged on my dark jeans and threw on a random cobalt blue sweater, toping it all off with my infamous high top maroon converse, having given up on impressing most people. I fed my fish and knocked on the door directly across from mine on my way down the hall.

"Well someone hasn't been sleeping again." Carsen, my best friend since second grade complained. Long black hair and piercing green eyes. A true beauty.

Thank you for pointing that out, it's not like I've had that problem for years.

"I-im not tired. Just stressed, you know that c." I said, tugging at my unruly hair with a long sigh. A bad habit I've picked up from my other best friend, Nova.

Carsen laughed, shaking her head, "sure, keep telling yourself that. I'll be here when you want to actually admit your problem."

Which one?

I pushed my lips in a straight line and put my focus on my chipped white nail polish. Cringing at the smell of coffee, something i had come to hate due to its overwhelmingly strong taste, I grabbed my purse and walked outside to my old white BMW.

The color white keeps me calm. It's not loud or crazy.

Walking into the small cafè with my book in hand, I lightly smiled at my boyfriend Gavin. The relationship was good but I had always felt there was something more in store for my future.

My eyes shifted to the beautiful boy- man next to him. Squinting as I took in his appearance. I hate meeting new people. I could feel myself growing anxious.

White. White. White. Organized. Calm and collected Amelia. Calm and collected. White.

This man is beautiful.

Close comparison to my tall, lanky figure. Short and messy brown hair and dark eyes. A blank expression occupying his features.

"Hi Gavin." I said softly, almost too quiet to hear.

"Hi babe" Gavin smiled as he grabbed my small, cold hand.

Please dont call me that. You know I'm not a fan of pet names.

The stranger made no attempt to introduce himself. Only occasionally letting out small laughs as Gavin made a terrible attempt at jokes. His head tilted slightly, siting tall and proud. intimidating eyes staring back at mine.

As I got comfortable in my seat with the new pair of eyes on me, my boyfriends fact lit up remembering his apparent new friend. "Amelia, this is harry!" I pushed a strand of hair behind my ear and gave the brightest smile I possibly could.

"Hi." I squeaked out. My eyes grew wide as I slapped my hand over my mouth, startled by the sound that escaped me.

"It's a pleasure." He said in response to my awkward greeting. His dark emerald eyes catching the light from the window every now and then.

On my list of things that make me anxious are people that don't care about first impressions.

This man does not care.

this will be a long day.
