“What is the meaning of this?!” I demanded tossing the letter on the counter.
Tracks looked up from wiping a whisky glass and his gray eye’s widened with surprise.
“Nice look for ya.” He remarked, regarding my bruise.
I brushed the comment aside and gestured to the letter.
Tracks examined the letter with mild interest.
“A letter from Iaceo.” He replied.
“Yeah, I know. What I want to know is what it means!”
“Iaceo is hungry for information, that’s all I know.” he replied honestly.
“How did you get this?” he asked curiously and impressed.
“Not important.” I replied.
“Maybe Iaceo will finally get a taste of his own medicine.” he remarked, slightly amused by my quick reply.
“So you think he’s one of Them too?”
“Can’t say for sure, no one can get anything on him.” He shrugged.
“That to me only helps prove it still more.” I replied thinking.
“To you and many others which have failed miserably in the process.” He said looking up at me warningly.
“So your saying I should give up?” But somehow I doubted that.
“I’m saying to be careful.” Tracks said quietly. “He’s powerful, and his spies are everywhere, if he want’s to sell out the information on the Project, he can. Then we’re all dead.” He reminded me.
He paused for a second.
“And in my opinion, it’s high time us worthless Dog’s got some respect.” He implied while dusting the bar glasses.
I stared at the counter thoughtfully.
“So he does have spy’s, at least I’m not crazy or paranoid. And Tracks is right, I’m so sick of all this descrimatory the Gifted are all evil bull…it‘s time to stop getting treated like dirt and show who we really are.”
I looked up to the door to see it burst open as three men entered. One bore a particularly nasty black eye and limped rather badly. To his left stood a man that had various burns along his right side, his hair was singed to such a degree it's origanal color was barely visible. Next to enter was an epically angry man, about ready to kill the first person that looked at him wrong. The tattoos on his arm where consumed by irritated burned skin. Lastly, entered a new recruit, an enormous man that had to duck to get through the doorway.
I ducked my head, I knew who they were looking for. Despite the situation, I couldn’t help but laugh a little inside.
“Finally, they got what was coming to them. And they look a heck of a lot worse than me.”
Despite my efforts, they saw me almost immediately. To make matters worse, I saw the Guy’s enter the bar through the side door.
“They couldn’t of known I’d be here. They get Intel from Tracks too, I’m sure that’s it.”
Tracks looked up to see both parties enter.
“I’ve gotta go talk to them.” He said gesturing towards Kurama and his group.
“Try not to start any bar fights okay?” He asked.
“No promises.” I replied with my head down.
