Amy woke up one morning trying to decide what to do. Does she run away and get out of her parents fights, or does she tell them how she feels? She just wants to go to the old barn in Stanton, it is out in the trees. She's tried to run away many times, but she's always found. This way, Stanton is 2 hours away and no one will know where she is. Amy's friend Deyanira is totally supportive of her running away. She thinks it will be good for her. Deyanira calls Amy and asks when she's going to go. "I don't know Dey, when should I go?" Amy says. "Just go today, or whenever they start to fight. Maybe they won't fight today," Deyanira said. "Um, I doubt that, they always fight. I can't believe they fight right in front of me!" Amy said. "I know. It's okay, do what you think is best for you and your family," Deyanira told Amy. "Okay, I've got to go, bye!!" Amy said. "Bye Amy, but stop over at my house before you run!" Deyanira exclaimed. Amy felt sorry for leaving Deyanira. She didn't want to leave her best friend. Amy asked Deyanira many times if she wants to run away with her, but Deyanira always said no. "Maybe I can convince her to go with me this time," Amy said to herself....
