Teach Me the Straight way

Chapter 1

"It's a phase."

Luke said shaking his head like it was the most obvious thing in the world, arms folded over his chest as he stood in the middle of the single bedroom.

Micah could only sit back on his bed and stare blankly up at him, his face deadpanned.

He couldn't say he was surprised, he had more than expected this kind of behavior from his best friend. Which is why he had put off telling him the truth for as long as possible.

It had gotten to the point where everyone around them knew, except for Luke. Of course as soon as his others friends realized this, they had practically force Micah to invite Luke over and drop the bomb on him.

After having been guilt tripped into doing it, Micah could now say with the utmost confidence that it had been a terrible idea.

"Did you have to work to be stupid or does it just come naturally to you?" Micah asked with a bored tone.

Luke snorted and flopped down next to him, ignoring his piercing gaze.

"Says you, dude. I am freaking awesome. " he muttered, still not meeting Micah's expressionless dark eyes.

"I pretty much just came out to you and you are telling me is a fucking phase. Shouldn't I be the one in denial, not you?" He enquired, his signature poker face broken only by the slight raise of an eyebrow.

"I am not in denial! There is no way you are gay, dude. You have dated girls before." He pointed out, finally turning to look at him.

"Name one." Micah challenge, folding his arms over his chest and tilting his head slightly to the side.

"Easy" Luke smirked, raising an index finger and opening his mouth to talk, but no words coming out. He remained frozen in space for a few more seconds before frowning as he drew to a blank.

"Ummm...." he trailed, his erect finger going crooked.

"Exactl-"

"Oh, Cindy!" he cut him off.

"You guys were a thing back in the days. Weren't you science partners too?" He looked at Micah expectantly, making the former scoff.

"Yeah, like in third grade, and I don't think holding hands for a day constitutes as fucking dating." he pause for a second, before adding, "Plus that bitch stole my animal crackers. " He huffed, irked by the memory, and Luke burst out laughing. Micah squinted his eyes suspiciously as his friend wiped happy tears from the corner of his eyes.

"What?"

"That was me." He said chuckling, a fond smile on his pink lips. 

Micah frown deepened into a scowl, they were getting nowhere and he really needed to start on his homework.

He sighed.

"Luke I am gay, alright? Can you just be a normal friend and accept it already, you dumb piece of shit." although the words were harsh, both of them knew they meant nothing . It was like them to reap on each other on a daily basis and not think anything of it.

"No dude, you are just confused, trust me." Luke waved a hand in dismissal, "Hormones and all that shit we teenager have to go through. But don't worry as your best friend I will make it my life mission to help you see the greatness of tits again."

Micah crunched up his nose in distaste.

"Gross."

"Oh shush you." Luke scolded, furrowing his brow and making Micah raise an eyebrow at him.

"I like dick. " He said slowly as if talking to an infant, more to annoyed his friend than anything else. However, he was surprised when a light blush graced Luke's cheeks and he quickly stood up.

"I got to get going, but meet me tomorrow at town square." He said quickly taking his jacket from a nearby chair and shrugging it on.

"For what?" He asked, not missing the mischief glint in the other boy's baby blue eyes.

"You'll see." He said simply, a sly smile playing on his lips as he headed out the door and down the stairs.

Micah waited till he couldn't hear anymore footsteps to let out a weary sigh.

"Yeah that's right get the hell out, you fucker. " He said to no one in particular, laying back down in bed and staring at the ceiling. Then in a more smaller and quieter voice he whispered "I love you, idiot."

A/N Hey guys! so this is my first story on Deviantart and it's going to be pretty short, another two chapters and it should be done. I might think about doing an extra one if a lot of people seem to like the story. I don't have a set time when I am going to be updating, but I'll try to have a new chapter up every two weeks if not before that.
