Chapter Two
"Locks?” Goldi asked on the phone, her voice buzzing with nervous excitement.
“Yep! Hey Goldi!" Locks' high, sing song voice came through the phone making Goldi even happier, so much she thought she may explode with excitement.
"Locks, my parents are going away for 6 weeks maximum and I need to plan a super duper, massive, uber cool party in the house and I need you right now to brainstorm, NOW!!" She nearly shouted the last part; finally she had spilled the beans. The initial excitement had died down and she didn't feel like a ticking time bomb anymore, ready to explode at any time.
"Right..... Wait. Pass that by me again?" Locks had decoded that Goldi's rushed voice meant that it was something big she was talking about, just not the actual words. The same excitement buzzed through her voice, as she waited for Goldi to reply.
"You heard me! My parents are away for weeks and I'm planning a massive party and I need you to help me! So come get your ass round here!"
"OMG!! You lucky BI-A--T-CH!!” Locks screamed down he phone. “I’m coming right now and will be there in.... Let me think.... 10 minutes tops?" Goldi was left listening to the waiting tone as Locks had put the phone down, no doubt rushing out the door at the same time.
She couldn't wait until Locks got here. What an event it would be! Drinks being served in the kitchen, bodies pressed up against each other, half deaf from the booming bass music, everyone in the town loving her and congratulating her... Yet she realised, that 1) how was she going to pay for it and 2) who was going to clean up? These thoughts ran through her head and for once she started to doubt her plans, who on earth in their right mind would ever have one of these? Well the super-rich would, they had servants to clean up after though...
At that moment the doorbell rang, bringing her thoughts to a halt, as well as the pacing she had been doing around the kitchen. Goldi hadn't even realised what she was doing till then and wondered how long she had been absorbed in her thoughts. 10 minutes, she supposed as Locks had said she'd be that long. Answering the door, she knew she'd find Locks and there she was, standing there like princess. Locks was the most beautiful red head Goldi had ever known, well Locks was the only red head she knew, but she was stunning none the less. She wore a tight fitting lace white jumper with a black tube top underneath and on her bottom half, dark navy, skinny jeans and on her feet, bright blue converse trainers. Her hair was in a messy, curly bun on her head, which Goldi thought was odd as she normally wore it down and straightened. She looked amazing, even her make-up was perfect, even though it was starting to drizzle with rain.
"Well Goldi, are you going to let me in or leave me out in the rain like a cat?" Locks stated sarcastically.
"Well in that case... leave you in the rain like a cat." Goldi started to close the door, knowing that Locks would burst in.
"Don't you dare, you devil!" Locks screamed, ramming her body against the door; misjudging any resistance she landed with a thump on top of Goldi.
"Temper, temper darling" Goldi said to Locks, while they were in an awkward position. At this remark they both erupted into loud laughter. Locks rolled off Goldi and they both lay laughing on the floor in hysterics.
"Goldi...” Locks gasped between fits of laughter “We can't spend... the... entire day... on... the... floor!!" She finally managed to get out.
