"Tord... When is Patryk gonna come back?" Paul whined. Tord looked back at him in sympathy. He can't hide it, anymore, because he kept asking over and over it felt pitiful to just keep it a secret, right?
"He's....not.. coming back Paul. I'm sorry" He hesitated.
"What do you mean he's not coming back?" Paul asked for clearer confirmation. Obviously he didn't understand. Tord sighed and ruffles his fluffy hair, smiling,
"He's never coming back. Okay?" Tord tries to cheer him up but it didn't work.
"Aww but I want to play with him..." He sniffed. What a sober. Tord tries to distract him,
"Uhh... hey, hey, don't you think you should uh..." Tord tries to find some sort of entertainment but failed despaired because Paul cried already.
"What do you mean he's never coming back?" He wailed more. Rubbing his eyes and eyebrows from the tears that struck out. Tord sat there and carried him to his lap.
"Shhhh shh it's okay..." Tord sighed again. Paul sits down there, trying to calm himself down. He misses Patryk so much. And the thought of never going to see him again hurts him. A lot. Especially a kid.
"Why is he not coming back?" He managed to ask more with a delirious crying tone.
"....." Tord kept quiet. And then he drops Paul down. And scratches his forehead, thinking.
"L-listen, you, Uhh.... you're an orphan. Living in an orphanage. And... One day, someone is gonna pick you up. Um, adopt you. You see." Paul tilt his head in confusion. You can see his eyebrow raised a bit.
"So then, um. I mean. Patryk. He..." Tord continued,
"Patryk is already chosen. And... you... nobody chose you yet"
"Why?" Paul asked again. This questions are getting absolutely agitating tord but he's just a curious kid.
"You'll understand on your own once you grew up, okay?" Tord huffed and standing up straight for a split second. Paul stopped crying in instance after the explanation.
His expression shows his curiousity. Tord left the room and waved little. Paul waved back and sat down like he's about to crack up again. He's a lonely kid. Nobody wants to befriend him except for Patryk. Just because of a lousy reason.
Paul plopped to the ground, looking at the ceiling, glittered with some sort of glow in the dark stars. He's very sad upon his leaving. After a whole time thinking of Patryk, he derived himself to sleep. Closing his eyelids.Every now and a minute he'd open his eyes, having the thought of Patryk suddenly came back. Or something. of course, once he slept for real, he dreamed about him.
"Patryk! You came back!!"
"Y-yeah!! I did! I missed you already!"
"It's not even a day yet, and I missed you too!!" They both hugged each other. Just as Patryk about to kiss his cheek, Paul woke up again. Yawn... He rubbed his eyes again. He looked around to see what has happened. Nothing. It's dinner time!! Paul ran off to the dining room.(Time skip, I seriously don't know what is it in orphanage like)
It's been 20 years. Or so. Paul hasn't met Patryk yet. He did think of him every now and then.. but not so much. He sighed as his cigar was lit. But now he's thinking of him.
"Paul! Hey!! I got good news!" Suddenly Tord ran in, his breath is hard.
"What?" Tord looked at him and drag his arm, running by the door. Paul was confused but nevertheless, he's dragged anyways.
"Open the door" Tord smiled in a 3 shaped mouth like a cat. Something seems fishy Paul stares. He looked at the door in a suspicious look. Then flick the doorknob anyways. There he stands. Patryk. With his Red sweater and jeans. Boots as well. Paul eyes widen and without further ado, he speared him into a hug.
"Oof-!!" Patryk falls to the ground, hitting it not so hard.
"Are you crying?"
"Shut up asshole, you left me for 20 years"
