Chapter one

Tris's POV

It's official it's been exactly two years since Caleb went threw the death serum. Those were some rough times for me even though I wanted him to die after what he did to me, he was still my brother and I loved him. Not to mention he was the last family member I had. But now Tobias and I have gotten a lot closer. I love him and I know he loves me. Ever since I jumped first and he helped me out of that net there was a connection. I'm so glad we didn't break up after we left Evelyn to go out of the gates. Couples fight, if they didn't fight there wouldn't be a realationship. I walked into the kitchen of our small apartment. There sat on the table a piece of dauntless cake. They best cake anyone could ever have. I looked around. Nobody. I guess Tobias just went to visit Zeke. Zeke lived a floor below us. I grasped the old fork and began to devour the warm oh so soft chocolate cake. Mmmmm I whispered oh so gently. "Tris?" It was Tobias I shoved the cake back to the center of the table and hid the fork. His eyebrow rose as he began to advance toward me. I slightly smiled knowing I was busted. "Here" his warm fingers moved my chin up. "You have a little something on you" he kissed me gently while licking the extra chocolate cake off my lips. I giggled in a tone almost as a child would do. "Don't worry it was for you" he laughed. I took the fork out from under my grasp. "So how was Zeke?" He looked at me "he's fine" "just fine?" I asked. He paused taking a letter in his hand "you wanna go out?" He asked. Not the answer I was excepting to hear so I was a little late replying. "Oh uh yea sure" "is that a no?" "No. I mean yes. Ugg yes I would love to go out with you!" Tobias smirked and pulled me out of my chair. "Where are we going?" "You'll know when were there" I hate when he does this but it makes me more attracted to him. He was wearing an old short sleeve dauntless shirt with blue jeans almost too big for him. The shirt completed him muscles tremendously. I smiled and he noticed. "What?" "You look really good" I said. He blushed. Oh come on, he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "Tobias!" "It really helps when you are so short" he teased. "Oh whatever" we went threw the old Amity apple orchards until we made it to train tracks. He put me down gently and A horn sound came from afar. "Were here!" He smiled and pointed to the tracks. "Uh Tobias where are we?" "Ok hold on" once again he picked me up and threw me over shoulder. "Tobias!" I moaned almost yelling. The train came closer and he jumped on. "You know I was also a dauntless, I can jump on trains" he laughed and I stood up. "Wait is this the....." "Yea" he took my hand. "I haven't been on this train in two years Tobias" "well 6 I'm helping your brain out by refreshing you memory" "your so cheesy, you know that 4?" "I call it romantic" "no this is romantic" I took his hands put them around my waist and clutched his shirt pulling him towards me. Our faces were exactly a cementer away. "That's romantic" I said and pushed away from him. "I bet I can beat you at being more romantic" he puppy dog faced me. "Oh really?" He took my hand and pulled me to the next train cart. There stood a picnic set for two. "You won" I winced. "Just like our first real date" "ok I said it YOU WON!" "I like winning" he teased. I hit his arm, but of corse it didn't hurt him. We sat down and ate a lovely picnic that he had made. There was a sparking beverage I had a little too much of so I kind of spaced out a little ruining the night he had worked so hard on. "To..bias... I hiccuped, where is Jeannine Matthews?" I asked. "Tris, she's dead" "no...no.no...she's alive, she's right there!" I pointed to the wall behind him. "Ahhh Tris I think you drank to much" he said lifting the bottle almost empty. "I wanted to have fun!" I giggled. "Sure you did" he answered. He started to clear the picnic, "come on let's go home" he said . "Will we be alone?" I hiccuped. "Yes Tris" "yay!" I yelled. That's the last thing I remembered until we got back to the apartment. I took my shirt off and passed out.
