Bertholdt x Annie

       Annie's POV

        I woke up earlier than all the other girls... Mikasa stirred and then rose. She didn't even look at me and then headed out the door with her uniform. I got up and gabbed my uniform. After I got dressed I went out side and started to work out. There wasn't any point to sleep so late... And by late I mean 7. I got up around 5 every day. It kept me ahead of all the others. I finished my final lap when Bertholdt caught my eye. I slowed down and wiped the sweat from my fore head. Bertholdt gave me a cute wave. A large white smile crossed his face. He ran over to me.

        "Are you wanting to talk about... The mission?" I said the last bit quietly. He blinked at me.
        "Why would I want to talk about that? I wanted to talk to you... But not about anything like that." Bertholdt said almost offended. He now looked a bit depressed. "If that is what you want to talk about then we can..." He said looking me in the eyes... I blushed. His brown eyes stared down into mine. I broke they eye contact, looking to the left.
        "T-that's not... No I didn't really want to talk about it. We hear enough about it when we are alone with Reiner..." I said a bit fed up. I had a short temper even though I didn't really show it but I felt close and comfortable to Bertholdt... Well I was... At least until recently... The way he looks at me now seems to have intentions... I really wish I understood..."
        "Hey... Annie?" He said to me hesitantly. I looked back up at his eyes. He looked back into mine. His pupils seemed to be dilated... I wonder why.

        "Yes, what is it?" I asked almost wanting to run away. I was blushing and I wish that I wasn't. I also hope that he hadn't noticed. 

        "Annie... You wanna come for a walk?" He asked blushing brightly.

Bertholdt's POV

         "Annie... You wanna come for a walk?" I blushed. I could feel it... It was strong. Knowing that I was this embarrassed just made it worse. I covered my face with m hands, and rubbed my face. As if I were trying to rub the blush out of my cheeks. I lowered my hands from my eyes and looked at her.
        "Yeah... I would love to go for a walk."  She said smiling at me. I noticed that she was blushing as well and lowered my hands from my face revealing my blush. I walked in the direction of the forest that we trained in. I tuned back to look at Annie and she was speed walking to catch up. She was so cute... Wait... What am I thinking?! No... I want to think that... I wonder how she feels about me...

Annie's POV

         I wonder how he feels about me... I would really like to know... Hmm. Bertholdt... I want to be with you... But I could never ask. We had been walking in silence for around 10 minutes. I stopped and then flopped onto the ground and looked up to the sky. The sky was so clear. It was beautiful. We were still cadets. I didn't want to stop training yet. I was happy with being somewhere in between. Bertholdt sat down next to me. I wasn't thinking when I closed my eyes and then leaned on his shoulder.

Bertholdt's POV

I suddenly felt a weight lean on my shoulder. I looked over and saw that it was Annie. She was leaned on my shoulder with her eyes closed. I put my arms around her. When I did she tensed and her eyes flew open she almost backed away from me. When I gave her this look that I really didn't mean to do. She blinked. A blush rose to her cheeks, and then she smiled lightly. Her smile... When Annie smiles my whole world lights up. It is as if my worries are abstract. Like they evaporate and turn into the clouds that I always catch her watching. Annie was all I had besides Reiner... And Reiner was a guy. He was my best friend. Annie... I love her. I love Annie with all my heart... And I was going to tell her... Right now.
        "Hey Annie?" I asked hesitantly. She slightly lifted her head from my chest and looked up at me.

        "What is it? Is there something the mater?" She asked her big blue eyes wide instead of her uncaring cold eyes. Sometimes when she looked at me sometimes her eyes were filled with care, curiosity, and most of all they looked alive! She looked alive.
        "I wanted to tell you something." I said looking her in the eyes. She blushed.

        "What is it?" She asked.

        "Annie I love you. I always have. " I leaned down and kissed her. Her lips were soft and warm. I closed my eyes and continued to kiss her.

Annie's POV

        "Annie I love you. I always have." Bertholdt said confidently and then leaned down and put his lips up against mine. His lips were firm but not so hard that it was uncomfortable. He continued to kiss me, and when we both finally parted. I smiled at him, my eyes wide with love.

        "Bertholdt... I love you too!" I plastered myself against his chest and gave in a tight hug.

Annie and Bertholdt's POV

We sat there all day... We would probably get in trouble for skipping, but we didn't care. I loved her-him. And we want this to last as long as it can before it is forced to end.
