After I hung up on the phone with Alfie I rushed around my room to fill a bag with everything I would need for the weekend. I then went into the bathroom and filled up my makeup bag before chucking that into my bigger bag.

I wrote a note to my dad and Joe telling them where I had gone and left the house. I was already on the main road when I realised that I had forgotten my vlogging camera. Normally I would have kept going and just have left it, but it was Vlogmas, and all my friends thought I couldn't make it the whole month.

I wanted to prove them wrong.

After I had made the U turn back to my house and back onto the road I was running late but it didn't matter that much. Alfie was always late, it was my turn to be late for once. I knew he wouldn't mind.

There was hardly any traffic though and it turned out that I got to the hotel right on time. I went up to the desk and smiled at the woman behind it. Her name was Emily. She recognised me right away because Alfie and I came here so often.

"Alfie's already up there. Here's your key Zoe," she said handing me the credit card type key. I took it from her and grinned.

"Thanks Emily," I said as I started to walk to the stairs.

"You're welcome Zoe!" she said enthusiastically. She loved watching my videos, it was really sweet actually.

I practically ran up the stairs to the second floor and down the hall a bit to room number 24. That was the room we always got. This hotel was so cute and quaint. There was hardly anyone ever in it and I think that was part of the reason we liked it so much.

It felt like ours. Our hotel. I liked the sound of that.

When I got to the door I fumbled around my key dropping it a couple times before finally fitting it into the slot and opening the doors. The second I saw Alfie I dropped my bags and ran towards him enveloping him in a hug.

I missed him so much.

It was later that night after I had told Alfie about how I wanted to move to Brighton. We were both in the bed on our laptops watching Youtube videos and scrolling through our Tumblr feed. That was when we heard people talking in the hallway.

Alfie and I both looked at each other perplexed. There was hardly anyone ever here. Why would there be poeple here? Now?

"Who do you think it is?" I asked standing up.

"Let's eavesdrop!" Alfie said standing up as well. We both walked over to our door and Alfie opened it a creak.

We both pressed our ears to the crack and tried to listen to the conversation but I couldn't make out anything that anyone was saying. It just sounded like a lot of yelling to me. Then out of the blue, "It was not the chicken Joan!" There was a load of stomping but Alfie and I didn't hear the rest because we had erupted into laughter.

That was another reason why I loved Alfie, he could turn any awkward situation into a funny one. After our first kiss on New Year's we both just laughed it off and it wasn't so awkward anymore. I knew that with Alfie everything was always going to be funny. I loved that.
