Chapter 20

*Joey's POV*

I rested my chest on Shane's and kept my head snuggled up into the space between his shoulder and neck. I had my eyes closed but I felt something was up with Shane.

"Shane?"

"Joey.."

"What's wrong, Shane? I can feel something's not right."

"Sawyer left."

"Oh I'll run into him when I get home.. That'll be fine, don't worry." I said when I moved one of my hands up to his chest and let it rest there.

"Joey?"

"Yes?"

"Did this happen?" Shane said.

I opened my eyes. Did this happen? Of course this happened!

I realized I had to see it in a different way. And I decided if this had happened for me or not.

"For me it did." I said a whole lot calmer than I actually was.

"For me it did too."

"But did it happen for the world?" Shane said staring into my eyes.

I still had my head on his shoulder and thought. My head directly translated this question to 'Are you gay and if you are, are you gonna come out?'.

"No." I managed to get out of my mouth.

"I was about to say the same.." Shane told me as he looked at me and played a bit with my hair.

And just when I thought it was fine, I remembered that we had a conversation before.. I needed to know what the end of our little conversation would've been.

"When Sawyer just went to get his camera out of the car, you said you had to thank me.. But you didn't complete your sentence. You stopped at 'because you are..'" I said when I leaned up on my elbows to be able to look into Shane's eyes.

The sound of a key in a lock came to me and to Shane as well..

"GET UP JOEY ITS LISA!"
