"I drive on her streets. 'Cause she's my companion. I walk through her hills. 'Cause she knows who I am. She sees my good deeds. And she kisses me windy. I never worry. Now that is a lie".

Under The Bridge // Red Hot Chili Peppers

Daniel was close to her and she could smell his delicious cologne. "Maja". He muttered and made her look up at him. His eyes were a bit glassy from the beer, probably, but he wasn't completely drunk or something.

"Daniel". She said back and placed her palms on his muscled chest. Daniel leaned down and she didn't know what to do.

Her voice was soft, nothing more than a whisper, but the Australian could hear her clearly. Her piercing blue eyes looked into his as his brown ones flickered to her lips.

He wetted his own, their noses touching. "Daniel...I". Maja started, but didn't pull away. "You can't kiss me, I know". Daniel said, not making any attempt to make more distance between them.

"But I can kiss you". He said with a cheeky smile. Daniel frowned as Maja didn't laugh and turned her head away. "I really can't". She said softly, taking a step back. "You're a really nice guy, Dan. But I have a boyfriend at home and I'm not one of those who can't hold back the desire for someone else. Besides, we know each other for a week".

Maja said, deciding for herself that she had to be strong know.

"I'm sorry I-... I shouldn't have...". Daniel stammered, realising how stupid he was. "It's okay, it's probably because of the alcohol, right?". Maja said, actually trying to blame something. The Australian nodded. "Yeah, yeah, must've been the beer".

Daniel looked down at his shoes in embarrassment. "I hope this doesn't change anything in our friendship?". Maja said/asked. "Even though I only know you for a week, I hope our friendship doesn't change". She muttered.

"I'm not planning on acting weird". Daniel said with a small smile. "What are you doing next week?". He asked. "Going home in Milton Keynes, I'll be around at the factory". Maja smiled and Daniel opened the door for her so they could get back into the club.

Maja didn't feel in the mood anymore to party and she downed another drink Daniil offered her, but after that she went straight to the hotel. Daniel assumed that she went back as he didn't see her anymore. "Where's Maja?". He softly grabbed Anna's elbow.

"I dunno, thought she was with you?". Anna laughed and threw her hands in the air again. Okay, she was wasted. Daniel didn't feel in the mood to listen to the people's drunken bullshit stories and grabbed his coat to get some fresh air.

He hauled a taxi and got back to the hotel on his own. Daniel hesitantly stood in front of her door. Should he knock? No, that's awkward. But he also wanted to know if she was here.

He knocked twice, a matter of seconds before the door opened. "Daniel". The Australian loved the way she said her name, the way she pronounced it, it caused shivers to run down her spine.

Maja looked up at him, already in her pyjama's. "What are you doing here? Don't you want to party anymore?". She asked.

Daniel shook his head "Nah, I didn't feel in the mood anymore". Maja nodded, understanding as she felt the same. "We're on the same flight to Milton Keynes, right?". She followed with a second question. "I believe we are". He nodded.

"Well, goodnight, Dan". Maja said.

"Goodnight, Maja". Daniel said and sent her a small smile, turning around to make his way down the hall, to his own room.
