I had a seemingly admirable life - even I was fooled.
I'd married my high school sweetheart when I was twenty years old. Trevor and I had a multi-million dollar estate in an elite neighborhood. We had an eleven year old daughter named Rachel; a talented, beautiful, and well mannered child I loved dearly, and even a second child on the way.
Trevor and I met in a New York City city private school; from first glance I knew he was the one I wanted to marry some day. He had sandy-blond hair that fell in waves around his ears, coupled with Sapphire eyes. He'd been the most relateable, honest, intelligent, easy going, and compassionate man I'd ever known, and as we'd aged together he'd only advanced. His hair darkened to a chestnut shade, cut and smoothed back to fit the role of the President of his retired father's company. Our daughter was born and he fit the father role with ease - the role model all little girls needed.
He often brought me home flowers or surprised me with dinner. Even twelve years into our marriage, he'd never failed to hold my love and affection. I never once questioned a thing. Everything was perfect. Or so I thought. But then again, ignorance is bliss.
