"It won't be easy, but it needs to be done. So stay in your position and it will work." Rick announced over the sound of the thousands of Walkers below us. A pit has been "collecting" Walkers and recently it's become a threat. Our weapons at the ready and Rick shot the first flare.

-

This quickly came to a halt by a blaring horn. Rick looked more and more pissed with every second that the horn still sang. "Rick," I grabbed the front of his shirt to catch his attention "babe, go, we should keep moving." I looked up at him and he nodded.

"You five, go there." Rick instantly started spouting out orders "Glenn, you take the rest and head into town. Draw the herd that way the best you can. Amy,"

"I'm going with you." I said cutting him off. I wasn't leaving him.

"No. You're going with Glenn-"

"No. You're not going alone!"

"You'll be safe going into town. Go!" I felt a hand pulling on my arm and I yanked myself free. I pulled Rick down by his neck and crashed my lips to his. "You better be careful." I said to him before running after my group.

Glenn left with Nicolas to set a boulding on fire while we headed back to Alexandria. We updated people on what happened and I paced the floor of the clinic. All I could think, over and over was he better make it back. My nerves getting the best of me when hours past and nobody had made it back yet. I bent down over a trash can threw up. I knew all of this would be bad. "Stop worrying." Nick said from across the room. His hands were tied together in his lap. "He'll be back." Nick giggled to himself for his Terminator impression.

"It's not funny, Nick, really. What if he gets hurt? Or worse." I sat down on his bed.

"Expelled?" He said with wide eyes. I threw a pillow as hard as I could at him as he continued to giggle. I promptly left Nicks room and went for the tower overlooking the wall.

I had my machete at my side on the floor and a gun in hand. I crouched down looking through the scope. I watched the magnified leaves rustle in the wind and spotted a couple Walkers. I easily picked them off. One after the other would creep closer to the gate and I'd pull the trigger. I took a deep breath and followed the sounds of the dead with my scope, only to find a least a hundred filing closer the the gate. I stood and leaned as close as I could to the edge for a clear view.

I got back down and cocked my gun. Ready to shoot I froze. Had I not waited a few seconds I wouldn't have seen Rick running hard for the gate. "Open the gate!" He screamed. His hand on his chest and his gun empty. I jump down and quickly ran to gate but Michonne must have heard him and she had already been pulling it shut. "Rick!" I didn't want to compose myself in the slightest. I thankful to see him back inside the walls. He dropped his gun and as did I. It felt as if in those cheesy movies, Rick and I ran at each other and collided in a hug.

He set me down "Did everyone make it back?" He asked.

"We lost a couple, Glenn and Nicolas went a different way to distract the herd. They aren't back yet." Michonne informed him. Rick nodded.

-

"No, no, no, no, no. No!" I watched our lookout tower fall. It breaking the wall and the yard quickly filled with Walkers. I ran alongside Rick and Deanna to a safer place. I ran to the door and stopped. Spinning around I shoved past Rick and Ignored him as he called. "Am-Amelia!"

"I have to get Nick!" I screamed back while tackling a Walker. I threw my extra knife and watched as it sunk into a Walker head. I cleared most of the way with my gun until I ran out of bullets. I held out my machete and began killing. I swung left and right and pushed my way across the yard to the clinic. Luckily for Rick, Carl had been moved yesterday into the house. Carl was up and defending himself so there were no worries there.

I pushed a dead Walker into a pack of them and watched as they collapsed into each other. I was nearly there, the clinic just a few feet away. "Amy." I heard Rick bark. His harsh tone made me flinch and he fought close by me. Soon enough we made it in the building and blocked the door with a bed.

I quickly rushed to the back swung his door open.

"What the he'll is going on out there!" Nick demanded. Eyes wide and chest heaving he pulled at the ropes holding him to the bed. "Get me out of here. Get me-Amy, please!" He I cut him free and guided him to the back door where Rick said to be. Rick harshly grabbed onto Nick's shirt, balling it in his fist he slammed Nick into the wall.

"I swear god," Rick pressed harder against him "if you do anything that gets her or my family hurt, in any way, I'll break your jaw. Clear?" Rick glared straight at him while Nick shook his head I'm response. Rick let go of him and took my hand. "Don't leave my side, please." He asked down at me. "I won't." I whispered. I took his hand and with Nick behind me, we left hand in hand. We fought and pushed out way back to the house and by that time there must had been thousands scattered outside.

-

Yeah. Bedsheets covered in Walker blood. Could this really work? We've made it halfway across the yard till the lake went up in flames. The Walkers quickly took an interest and left us be. We took the chance and started hacking and slicing away the Walkers.

-

The morning came just a couple hours and later and we spent it cleaning. Scrubbing blood and guts, severed heads and arms from the pavement.
