Meliodas POV

She screamed at me.

She looked right at me- and screamed at me.

I tilted my head in confusion, and her eyes widened. Before, I felt perfectly normal, just crying like a man in my room, until I looked at the black marks covering my arm and hand. I knew it had begun- just like last time.

Last time was awful---

*flashback*

After Liz had looked at me in her loving and determined gaze, my heart fluttered like it usually did around her. I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize she was crying. I tried to comfort her- but when she said one name, I went insane. The person- who I had cared for, almost like a brother, had betrayed me. It was my brother, in fact. Zeldris.

*end of flashback*

"SIR MELIODAS?" Elizabeth cried. "WHAT IS WRONG?" Her eyes filled up with twinkling tears, and I was sad to leave her. But with one glance at her, I knew that I had to fulfill my duty as her friend, captain, and guardian. I was going to run away, run away from her, run away from my past, and run away altogether. My darkened wings sprouted out and I flew out of the open window.

Elizabeth POV

With one click, the door closed. Just seeing his dark purple eyes gaze into mine- made me feel like all the happiness he spread ran out and all he was left with was darkness. My tears continued streaming down my face. I didn't want him to run away from me. Was it something I did? Was it something from his past? How could I help? I scurried down the creaky wooden stairs into the bar, where I snatched King from Diane and Ban from his bottle. I dragged them out of the door, and ordered, as Princess of Liones, to go after Sir Meliodas.

"Princess, please explain. Where did Captain Meliodas go?" King asked.

"No time to explain" I answered, "but lend me your little pillow thing."

King looked confused, and Ban- I don't even know what he looked like. I had no time to look at them, I had to look for my love---------ly Captain. "Please King?" I asked. He nodded, knowing what I had just experienced from only the lonely look in my eyes. "Yes" he said as he changed into his much larger self, "Princess of Liones".

"Hahaha...." Ban drowsily added "Is Captain on one of his little outings? Wait...I just realized- if Meliodas is the Demon King's son, doesn't that make him a prin-----" I interrupted. I wasn't in the mood to hear about how the love of my life is a Demon Prince. I hopped onto King's majestic   sword pillow and glided away beside King. Ban had fallen asleep on Hawk's mom's nose.

"So, Princess- explain what happened in detail."

"Meliodas looked at me, said something in a language I didn't understand, and flew out the window." I explained, choking on my tears. I bet King could understand, but he still was puzzled. "Captain- flew out the window?" He asked. "Demon form." I replied.

We floated around for a while- searching desperately for Sir Meliodas. I saw no sign of him. Not even any disturbed branches in the neighboring forests. "So, King, you're King of the Fairies? That's the name of a folk dance I used to do a long time ago." I asked. He nodded. I heard one shot of an arrow. Suddenly, his eyes widened, the pillow vanished, and he fell forward. Losing his focus, or maybe even consciousness, there was no pillow beneath me, leaving me to fall into the Forest of White Dreams.
