You have been dreaming about this moment for, basically, your whole life. You've graduated high school, and now you get to begin college in the city that you've loved ever since you discovered it from your absolute favorite YouTuber, Dan Howell. You get to move to London, England. Who knows maybe I'll even get to meet them. Yeah... Okay. Who am I kidding?
Anyways... It's the most exciting thing that's ever happened to you, and you can't wait to begin this amazing experience. You've already sent your boxes to your apartment, or flat as Londoners call it, so all you have to do is get on that plane.. all alone.. and fly halfway across the world. It shouldn't be too hard, should it?
You are so relieved to have finally landed in London. It's already the most breathtaking thing you've seen, and you are only in an airport. As you walk towards the luggage spinney thing, you've never learned the word for that, you listen to all the conversations going on around you, and their accents are amazing. I wish I had an accent like that.
You see your beaten up, blue suitcase that you've had for probably too long, and you grab it before it rides away causing you to have to wait even longer to explore London. You roll your suitcase to the exit of the airport and step out into the sidewalk.
And I thought the airport was beautiful?
The light blue sky is filled with sunshine and fluffy, white clouds. There are birds chirping as they fly over the tall trees that seem to follow along the pavement. People rush by flashing slight smiles at those passing by them. You scan the area for a taxi and are able to wave one down. You slide into this stranger's car and tell him the directions to your new home.
I don't think I've ever thought about how dangerous a taxi is. This guy could just kidnap me and no one would know.
