As I pushed open the door I got a shot of the musty smell that fell on the whole place. The prison had not been used for several years and the lack of care had really taken its toll. As I walked into the reception I could see all the layers of paint that had peeled away. The top layer was mint green. Underneath were varying shades of brown, blue, red and grey. Strangely the colours were incredibly vibrant considering they were fifteen or more years old.

I quickly moved on from the reception and headed down cell blocks A, B and C. After that I moved into the courtyard. This was the place where the famous prisoner Jacob Harper murdered three men in broad daylight. He then faced the death penalty. I also explored the lookout towers and the underground store rooms. These were painfully dull compared to the rest of the grounds. I finally made my way to death row. A row of cells with the execution room at the end.

In the execution room was the dreaded electric chair covered in vines. And something else. Sitting in the chair was a figure slumped with vines growing all over him. I instantly recognised the facial features. This was him. Jacob Harper. And he was coming right for me.

......

My instincts kicked in and they sent me running. I didn't know where but anyware was better than here. I ended up in the courtyard. I backed up against the fence. Jacob threw himself at me and started clawing at my face. I threw him off but he was after me in an instant. I looked back and saw that he had some rubble in his hands. Before I knew it the rubble was in the back of my head. I was unconscious in a second. Dead in a minute. It's strange being Dead. You can still see. He dragged me back to the chair and left me there. He's still staring at me. Motionless.

The end
