Jay's POV

"So lemme guess. You want me to help you hunt down my own kind?"

"That....is dumbing it down but yes. You'll have a partner to assist you."

"um...no offense, but i'm an alien. i can handle myself."

"you'll have a partner. that's an order."

"YES father....."

Then the man that was standing in my shack walked up to the table and shook my hand.

"Jay, this is your partner, Walker. Walker, this is Jay."

"Hmph. Good to see you staying out of the streets looking for mophglets." I said.

He seemed confused at what I said but continued to listen to Director Henshaw.

Walker was concentrated on Hank, so I took the time to study him. He had dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and looked like the guy that had his scholarship to college as a football player taken away so he decided to go into government affairs. I can't believe Henshaw is pairing me up with him.

"Earth to Jay!"

"Yes director Henshaw?"

"I said you need to get the Korgunite out of earth's atmosphere and into orbit with mars."

"But it....no humans..."

"Is there a problem?"

"all due respect sir, no humans can touch Korgunite. I do not know what earth's yellow sun does to me."

"that's good. we know what powers you have."

He showed me a case file named "prodigal". I saw my parents. They were working with the DEO. My parents showed them our weapons, I toddled around the room on the video as my parents handed over their knowledge about Korgun. They said to watch me. Why was I here? I was on Korgun when my parents sent me away! You can't be in two places at once! I was furious. How could they do this to me?

Walker must have seen me as tears pricked the edges of my eyes threatening me that they would fall if I looked at the video any longer. He walked over and pulled me by the arm away from the screen. At first, I tried to hold onto the bar in front, but I let him take me away. He led me to what I guessed was a cell for extraterrestrials. 

"What are you doing? Hank's gonna be pissed if..."

I didn't get the chance to finish because I was pulled into a hug. I just cried into his shirt because all of my family was gone and I had no one left.

"I know that video wasn't supposed to be shown to you."

" It's okay. I feel better knowing what happened and knowing what happened to my family." 

He rubbed by back which made me feel better. 

"thank you walker."

I smiled up at him and pulled away.

"We should probably get back. Henshaw is probably pulling out what hair he has left."

"Yeah, and Walker?"

"hm?"

"I owe you."
