Chirp

The birds chirp with many varieties, many sing song tunes

Hopping tree to tree swiftly

Passing by children's windows...

Singing them blissful songs to wake up to.

The birds chirp with hardwired passion,

It's in their blood.

I woke up to the birds today,

They sang me a song.

A song of happiness,

During my darkest of times.

The Cardinal told me..

"I send messages from heaven..."

The Blue Jay told me..

"Just keep smiling..."

The Robin told me...

"It's okay to fail, what matters is getting back up again."

Then a Raven perched on the sill

Looking craven, and ill.

He whispered with a harsh tone..

"I am here. But your time has not yet come. You're meant for greatness."

You see

Birds tell stories

Hidden among songs

You just have to listen for them
