I'm sitting in my room packing my stuff and crying. I had just gotten the news yesterday that my parents were killed in a car accident while driving back from the doctors. My mom was pregnant. She was going to have a little girl but unfortunately the doctors couldn't save any of them. My family was never clse to my grandparents or relatives. So, I'm going to be living with my mom and dads' really good friend Colton. He is actually the grade 7 teacher at my school. I'm only in grade eight just so you know.
"Are you almost done?" Colton asked
"Yea, let's go." I sighed and picked up two bags as he picked up four bags.
I was going to miss this house. I've lived here since I was born. My mom worked for a house designing company so she got the house decorated real nice! My dad was a sports agent. He was well payed so we had nice cars, house and went on a lot of trips.
"Do I have to go to school tomorrow Colton?" I asked as we drove away from my old house.
"No. I'm going to let you stay home but after that you have to go back because thats your graduation day. Wow, your going to grade 9 now! I remember when you were first born!" He said and patted my shoulder.
You can tell he was acting to be happy by his eyes. He has these nice bright emerald eyes but after he got the news they were dull and dim. He had a look of hurt on but tried to hide it. I wonder if he even wants to be my new family? I wonder if he will call me his own child? He is single so it might be hard.
"Colton, are you glad I'm going to be staying with you or are you doing it out of pity?" I asked him and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Of course I'm happy your staying with me Di! Your practically like my own child! Atleast I'll know your OK and your not with someone rude or abusive. And why are you wearing a sweater? It's like 35 degrees!" Colton asked
"I don't know. It's just comfy." I said lying to him. True is yesterday after I got the news, I was ruined. I think this might be the end of me. The only person I have left is Colton. I'm a quite person and he's now the only one I can talk to.
"Your weird!" He said giving me a light shove with his right hand as he shut off the car and hopped out.
His house was nice too! A nice grey brick and perfect alive green grass, not one dull dead peice. It was big. My bedroom will be right down a hallway from Colton's I have my own walk in closet and bathroom too!
I hopped out and helped Colton with my bags. We brang them to my room. He didn't give me a tour because I've been here millions of times.
Oh, I might have forgoten to explain Colton for you. He is very tall like 6'4'' and has light brown hair and he usually puts the front part spiked up. He is very fit. All the girls at my school have a crush. Like, I see why, he is good looking but no. I find it gross!
"Thanks Colton" I said as he put my bags on the zebra print sheets of my bed.
"No problem kiddo!" He said pulling me into a tight embrace which I returned.
He let go and left the room to let me settle in and unpack some of my stuff. So, I unpacked all my clothes and put them in my walk in closet. I had 3 bags left of my books, music stuff, bathroom stuff and other stuff.
I took out my iPod dock and brang it to the bathroom and put it the cornerby the door so it was far away from the shower. I put my toiletries and stuff in cupboards drawers and on shelfs. I put my soaps in the bath tub and went to find Colton. He was in the kithchen making some chicken wings and french fries. He was a good cook.
"Whats up?" Colton asked as I walked in and sat on the counter.
"Nothing, just unpacked most of my stuff and you?" I replied
"Making supper, what do you want to do tonight?" He aksed
"I think I just want to have a lazy night. After supper I will probably go have a bath and then read." I said
"Sounds good! I'm tired!" He said then yawned
"Yea, and I decided I will go to school tomorrow." I said and went and laid on the couch.
I guess I must've fell asleep watching T.V because Colton woke me up saying it was dinner time. I got my supper and sat at the opposite side of the table then Colton.
"So, are you excited about graduation?" Colton asked
"Kind of. I can't wait to get out of elemantary school but I just feel like time is going by to fast. YOu know what I mean?" I said
"Of course! Oh, and I got a call yesterday and I will be teaching high school next year! I'll be the grade 9 math teacher." He said happily.
"Awesome! What high-school?" I asked since we have two, Alexander James which is usually whee the richer and smarter kids go and Tarendale High which is where the kids that need more help and stuff go.
"Alexander James! Which is where your going." he said
"Nice!!" I said happily.
We finished our dinner with small conversation and I headed to my room to to have a bath.
I put my iPhone on the dock station and turned on my music and 'Say Something' by A Great Big World came on. I love this song so I sang along, people always tell me I'm a good singer.
I grabbed my fluffy zebra print jammies and my lime green shirt and started the bath. I stripped of my clothes and stepped into the warm water. The water made my cuts tingle a little but it felt nice nad relaxed my tense muscles.
I sang a long to my music until one song in particular came on... Demons by Imagine Dragons. This was my moms favourite song. I began to historically bawl. I felt the need to take this apin away.
I'm guessing you know what I'm going to do.
I grabbed the razor I kept in my make-up bag and got back in the tub. I took the cold silver blade and put it on my pale flesh. I began to shakely pull the blade across my skin making it cut open my skin and ooze red. I did that about 5 times until I put my arm into the water. It stung a little bit but it made the blood wash away.
After my bath I dried off and cleaned my cuts. I laid in bed and read my book 'Beautiful Darkness' I love it!! I put an alarm on my phone to wake me up at 7:00 for school and fell into a sleep full of nightmares.
