Chapter Four
Ben .P.O.V.
Savannah is asleep on my chest. I feel her breathing in and out.
I don't need to breathe, nor sleep.
I choose to, but I don't sleep.
I stay awake and watch her face. She is the most beautiful thing, I have ever in my life layed my eyes on.
She smiles in her sleep and lets out a small moan.
Damn, is it hot.
I smile at hr pretty face, when I feel the burning glare of Ashley.
"I trust you with my daughter, you will never hurt her. Blood swear?" Ashley says calmly
We had just arrived at our hotel and we were relaxing.
Savannah was in the shower.
"What?" I ask
"You are going to swear." Ashley says, not blinking.
"Okay. I will." I say and grab my pocket knife before cutting my palm
I hand Ashley the knife, with no hesitation he takes the knife and slits his own palm.
"Now say it. I Benjamin Bruce, swear to love and cherish Savannah Kenzie Purdy to the day I parish. To treat her right. I will never be unfaithful." Ashley says
I sigh, he remembers when I cheated on Savannah.
It was only one time and the worst mistake of my life. THe thing is she wasn't even pretty, nothing to my Savannah.
I was a wreck for days, with the guilt then I told her.
She cried and broke. We broke up for six months and she was all I thought about. Thankfully, she took me back, and I promised to NEVER do it again and I don't intend to.
I repeat Ashley's word before pressing my palm to him and he says, repeat this "If, I fail to do these things may the almighty God strike me dead."
As I hold his palm for a moment.
"Alright, it is done. You may marry my daughter." he says
"Thank you ." I mutter
He nods.
I leave his room that he is sharing with Andy and go to mine where I am sharing with Savannah and Jake.
"Where did you go?" Savannah asks, jumping into my arms, I catch her easily.
"Talking to your father." her eyes narrowed
"About what?" She asked
"Nothing to worry about, baby." I assure her
"Where is Jake?"
"He is already downstair waiting to go out." I tell her and she frowns
"What is the matter, sweetheart?" I ask
"I don't wanna go out. I wanna sit here with you and watch horror movies." she says
"Oh. I do too, baby." I admit
"Can't we cancel?" She asks
I shake my head and frown
I chuckle and cuddle her against me. I kiss her forehead.
"No. I am gonna take a shower." I tell her
She pouts
"Can I come?" she asks
