I ignored her words and glanced at her outfit. She was taking this sick thing very serious. And all she had was a small cold. Still dressed in her night gown, Medusa looked awful with her frizzy hair unwashed from days. Her face was bare from any makeup. Quite surprising. Her face is always caked up with cheap makeup.

The sun was shining brightly making an enthralling pattern, peeking out from the virgin white clouds. I followed the sunlight falling on a little girl's auburn hair, making them shine. She was giggling and riding a bike with her blue frilly frock on, with no care in the world. As if the sunlight was protecting her from all the evil in the world.

Medusa snapped at me, bringing me out of my daze. "Arlena! Why can't you do anything properly?! I told you to bring 5 strips didn't I?! Ah, good lord! Why am I stuck with this good for nothing thing? Now, I am going to die because of your foolish mistake. I need my fucking medicine and cigarettes!" She glared at me with pure hatred in her coal black eyes. They were dead. No spark left in them.

As if that would make me disappear.
