A/N: So, I wrote this in the middle of writing the second chapter for Facade. For the readers of that book, don't worry. I'm 3/4 done. Hopefully, I can publish it next weekend if school doesn't flood me with homework. p.s. surprise! it's today ^^
This oneshot was born from mah feels during Goblin (the kdrama, it's so good. definitely a must-watch) episode 13.
This oneshot also occurs right after 13, so don't read this first til you've reached that ep. Unless you want spoilers (which obv means SPOILER ALERT!)
Lastly, this oneshot happened in a different AU. I wrote this before 14 aired.
Disclaimer: I do not own Goblin, its characters, nor the drama's plot. I only own the plot of this oneshot.

Goblin 도깨비 Oneshot
Time: Ep 13 latter part ㅠ
In the middle of the cold hard floor, with bitter cool winter air brushing my hair as if to comfort me, I stared at you one last time.
You didn't have to do it yourself. Why didn't you just stab me? I was destined to die anyway... At least, if I were to die, you could've saved me.
But you? No one will protect you. Not me. I can't. As I AM your death.
When he possessed me, I already mourned on the inside. For I knew I cannot stop myself even if I wanted to. Park Joong Won was there.
He wanted your demise. And he did end up getting it.
Why?
...Or perhaps you had planned it out. When you told me to summon you after a while, you knew he would come after me? Then what? Sacrifice yourself to save us from our cruel destiny?
I could feel tears pouring on my cheeks again. They seemed to fall endlessly. I watched as you tell me your last words.
"I will come as the rain. I will come as the first snowfall. I will beg to the divinity.. to let me do just that." You promised me as you stared deep, your eyes full of love and longing.
You closed your eyes and my heart shattered to a million pieces when I saw you turning to ashes, then eventually fading away..
I wailed. You couldn't be gone. Wouldn't you stay with me for my remaining years??
Why now? When we were so happy. When we knew we DID love each other. Not because it was necessary because we just did.
...The almighty may be cruel for setting us this destiny, for taking you away from me just like this. But.. but maybe he'll hear my prayer and bring you back?
Time/s: ???; Location/s: ???
A 21-year old lady wearing a white sweater, black pants, and grey trench coat was seated on a mahogany bench by the sidewalk.
She looks down at two things she's holding: a dandelion and a lit teal-colored candle.
She puts out her phone and checks the time.
11.10 p.m.
"This should do."
She puts in back in her coat and places the things in her lap before rubbing her hands together and blowing on them.
"It's very cold today... Isn't it supposed to get warmer?" She looks up at the sky and gives a sad smile.
"But.. Ajusshi, I wouldn't mind if you came here now as snow. At least in that way, we can meet." She said as if he was up there, listening. Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes.
She is quick to notice this and shakes her head, "Andwae. Not now.."
Wiping her still non-existent tears, she places the dandelion on her left hand and holds the candle on the other.
She brings the candle to her face and admires the color.. "Is this teal? I looked hard for what color resembled the color of your sword..." She stroked it gently with her thumb and blows it out.
Filled with a small flame of hope, she looked around and searched for him.
'Maybe he's just here somewhere. Maybe he can still answer my call.'
When no one shows up, she gives out a sigh and said, "I hoped that would work, but I have a last resort."
Now, she wraps the dandelion in of her hands and picks out one part.
"He'll come back as...Rain-snow."
"Kim Shin."
"Rain-snow."
"Kim Shin."
"Rain-snow."
"Kim Shin.
She looks down at it. Last four.
"Rain-snow... Kim Shin.. Rain-snow... Kim Shin."
Her head shots up again and looks at her surroundings before her phone rings.
"Yes, Boss?"
"Part-timer.. It's almost 12. Your shift will start. You should go back now," Her young boss said in an authoritative voice laced with concern.
She sniffed quietly so Sunny can't hear her.
"Yah, Ji Eun Tak. Are you crying? He'll keep his promise, okay? Believe in him."
"Yes, but I can't help but think what if he'll be back?"
"You two are the goblin couple..Destined to meet from the start. Like me and my Yeo... Besides, I don't think oraboni would want to leave you a widow. Anyways, part-timer, come back in 10 minutes. I need you here."
"Ne.." She looks up again and sees... a guy.
'Do I know you?' She squinted her eyes.
He seems like those people we studied in History. Long hair. Too long to be from Seoul. Hair color matches perfectly, doesn't seem like a wig. Clothes not like in Joseon era, so Goryeo. He also seems to be a warrior from his stance-
"Shin!"
She quickly stands up and looks left and right before quickly crossing the street.
He just stares at her as his face morphs into that of longing, then, surprise and finally love.
She runs to him, crying. "I missed you. Ajumani."
He smiles and hugs her even tighter, "Me too."
From a branch of a cherry blossom tree that just appeared nearby, a white butterfly is fluttering as it watches over the two long-lost lovers.
