Chapter 3

I felt like Alice chasing the white rabbit through Wonderland as I chased Rhydian through the corridors to see him dive into what looked to me like a store cupboard. But more to the point why?

I had many questions racing through my head currently, that was just one of thousands.

Who is he? Why did a Hydra burn down my school? Why did my mum take her life? Who was, or is, my dad? Is this real? Are there more monsters out there? Why are you so hot?

I was partly right about Rhydian's swift exit. It was a store cupboard, but it was much bigger than it should've been and there was a swirling green vortex along one wall.

But he just sat there on a small and very old sofa that looked like it could break any second but I sat with him anyway. This should've been terrified, a strange egotistical guy had lead me into a cupboard that's bigger on the inside with a portal that might just swallow us whole!

He smiled at my awestrucken face as if it was a joke that never gets old,"where would you like to start?"

"How about with...what the hell that is?!" I nearly screamed at him but thought the sarcasm might be funnier.

He obviously hadn't noticed that their was a bat woman thing crawling through the vortex towards us.

At least that answered one of my questions!
