Part One: Trying again

"Pearl what's wrong?" Garnet asked.
"Do you ever miss them?" Pearl said sadly.
"Yes but the best thing we can do is forget about it."
"Sometimes I think that's one of the worst things we can do."
"It is but there is nothing we can do about it."
"But there is something-" Garnet cut Pearl off.
"Chalcedony is not coming back, at least anytime soon."
"But she could heal corruption and see if it would work."
"I will not defuse for something that may never work."
"But we know it will, we've tried it before. You have to remeber Bismuth wasn't behind the shield when the corruption blast struck."
"Yes I remeber, but that was Bismuth and she was different. What if the gems are angry that we didn't heal them earlier."
"Garnet the most we can do is try," Pearl said placing a hand on her shoulder.
*Amythest walks out along with Peridot.*
"Yo P and G, Peri has something to tell you," Amythest says with a big grin.
"Yes, I would like to try fusion," Peridot said try not to be awkward about it.
"W-w-w-WHAT?" Pearl finally stuttered. Garnet didn't look surprised at all, she looked more happy.
"Great do you have a fusion partner?" Garnet asked happily.
"Umm yes she's on her way right now," Peridot said. As soon as she said that Lapis landed on the deck right next to them.
"Here she is- HEY LAZULI OVER HERE!" Peri yelled.
"Hey guys, so Peri and I decided to try fusion agian. I thought why let Jasper ruin fusion for me?" Lapis said rather casually.
"Great then let's get started," Garnet said happily.
