"Luna?" A gentle voice spoke from beyond the darkness.

I opened my eyes slowly through the grogginess that urge me to fall back sleep, to ignore the mysterious voice who just might be the goddess herself.

The room I was currently in was plain white, the floors a boring blue tile, the burning sun shining through the pale yellow curtains. I felt stiff waking up, it didn't that a hard hospital bed was underneath me. A woman in her late thirties stared at me from a seat in the corner, her bland brown dress clothes looked quite expensive that implies she is important and obviously not a nurse or regular doctor.

Who was she?

"Good morning, I'm Doctor Lander and I am here to assess you. I'm the only other psychologist on this floor." She announced in a formal voice as if reading my mind.

"Why would they send a psychologist?" I echoed, trying to sit up but something stopped me. It wasn't just the shooting pain in my leg and head that kept me in placr but the handcuff around my wrist connected to the bed made it difficultto move.

I tugged on the handcuff violently while I yelled, "What the hell is going on?"

"Luna, do you remember the past three days?" She asked with sadness leaking from her eyes. She continued once I shook my head, "We found you barely breathing after jumping off a building trying to commit suicide. Luckily, you have only broken your leg in four different places and hit your head hard. We also found many types of drugs in your system along with alcohol, mind telling me what happened?"

I opened my month but nothing came out, I did not know what to say. All I knew what that I was not trying to kill myself, which is for sure.

"I wasn't trying to die." I whispered.

She seemed glad that I was talking, even a little smug. "If you weren't trying to die, then might I ask what you were trying to do?" She asked with pure patience leeking from her voice.

"I was trying to fly." I whispered, a sad smile forming on my face.

"Why were you trying to 'fly' Luna?" She emphasized the word fly as she gave me her whole attention.

"I wanted to be free of the cage around me. That beautiful cage that threatens to suffocate me." I said as I shut my eyes, thinking of the wonderful sensation of the wind on my face as I flew.

She nodded her blonde head as she scribbled something down. "Could you start from the beginning when things weren't going too well Luna so I could understand better?" She genuinely asked of me.

"I'd have to tell you my whole life story then and I don't think you'd like to hear it." I picked at the loose thread on the white canvas blanket.

"I'd love to hear it. Would you feel more comfortable if we only went back a few months ago instead?" She tilted her head.

I took a deep breath and finally, I spoke.
