The moon was bright and the dark purple sky was full of illuminating stars, making the night alive and preventing the evil creatures of the dark from lurking around the forest. As the war night breeze settled down, a young girl with flowing black hair and wore a light blue dress she made herself was wandering around as her guardian hid in the nearby trees. She stopped at an old oak tree where there full of flickering lights floating around that made her feel relaxed. As she admired the beauty of the lights, a wolf with dark brown fur emerged out of the trees and stood behind the girl. “What are these creatures?” the girl asked amazingly.

“They are called fireflies,” her guardian replied, “they produce light in order to prevent any darkness in the forest.”

“They look beautiful!”

“We have to continue going forward Luna,” the wolf reminded. Luna did as she was told and the both of them continued to wonder off in the majestic forest.

Luna and her guardian continued on their walk and past many creatures that Luna described as special or beautiful. One of her favorites was a small insect chirping along the path that her guardian described as a cricket. “They may seem unappealing,” she said as Luna looked closely at the creature, “but they become beautiful by singing their songs at night.”

“What makes you think that Vivian?” Luna asked.

“Listen.” They heard low chirping and then it grew louder and louder. Luna became surprised how a small insect like a cricket can actually make music that will eliminate the bad dreams and replace them with good ones. They started to the biggest hill that the forest provides and Luna was starting to get tired.

“Are we there yet?” She asked they continued to walk up the steep hill.

“Almost,” Vivian said softly as they almost reached the top. They had finally reached the top and Luna was able to see the forest below full of crickets chirping, fireflies glowing, the moon shining back down on them, and so much stars that Luna couldn’t count them all. Tears rolled down Luna’s cheeks as she became amazed by the scenery and how everything is in harmony.

“Vivian this is beautiful!” Luna exclaimed as she hugged Vivian.

“I knew you like it,” Vivian smiled. “Happy birthday Luna.”

“Thank you Vivian this is beautiful!”

“Ever since I was a pup, my mother took me right here to admire the world’s beauty and to be happy that we are still here. Since I now think you’re old enough, I pass it on to you.”

“This is the best Vivian! I will never forget this.”

“Me either,” Vivian smiled as they both looked at the background, admiring the view as the sun began to rise and the sky had an outline of dark purple and orange. Luna smiled and was happy that it was the best birthday of her life.
