Chapter three Cold Gold

- past/dream, present -

I'm cold, so cold , the ground beneath me is hard and wet. A bone shaking scream rings trough my ears, it's mine. In front of me are the people I loved so dearly, those who kisses my forehead before falling asleep and those who made me my favourite breakfast, Ice cold and frozen, worst of all gold. I'm screaming in fear staring from my hands to my parents. I did this, I'm a monster. A gasp that isn't mine , I look up to find a younger reflection of myself starring lost in my brothers eyes.
"M...mom, dad?" He sinks to his knees. I feel tears stream down my cheek as I whisper " I Don't know Davie, what's happenig to me, I didn't mean to" while reaching a hand out to him.
He kisses mom's hand before looking at me "Aurora this isn't your fault cupcake, you didn't know" he takes my hand and pulse me into his chest. He continues talking as I look up at him "You didn't know cupcake, they should have warned you, I should have known, I love you Aurora, I should have known Aurora,  you're a Monster, should have known, a monster".
Slowly  David turns to gold, like my parents,  his eyes looking at me filled with  regret , like he knew. His voice repeating
In a echo like time is slowing "should have known, should have warned, monster, monster! MONSTER"

I jolt awake, drenched in sweat, my hard is slamming against my chest and my breathing is uneven, fast, I'm hyperventilating. "Aurora " a voice calls as their is a faint nock on my door. "You monitors are going crazy I'm coming in" the door swings open and Lidia rushes over to me, gloved hand rub my back as I rock back and forth.
"It's okay, I'm here, I was just a nightmare, your not their anymore" I  try to calm my breathing as Lidia continues" hood breath in slowly and out trough your nose, it's okay I'm here." As my breathing paces and my hartbeat steadies Lidia gets up nd stands in front of my bed.
" Thank you " I choke out " for everything these past years". I look as her, pretty,  sun kissed skin and dark cruly hair, kind  green eyes and a warm smile. She's been the one who cared for me here, the only one besides Collin that didn't see me as a threat. "It's been so long since you came here,  you where so young, so scared and so broken. Im glad you are the strong young adult you are Aroura" I get out of bed smiling
"It's could have never become me without you Lidia, your kindness and affection is what gave me hope to live. I can't believe I'm not going to see you again" I walk up to her stopping right in front of her, panick shooting trough my body. "May I" I question to witch she nods, I take a deep breath and clear my mind before I wrap my arms around her. Stepping away I sigh in relief " I'm going to miss you Lidia."
She chuckles " don't think you can get rid of me so easily Aroura, I'll come visit the Lindsay manor, and you may have passed the tests but you still need to train and have monthly progress examinations"  she gives me a knowing grin as I send a sarcastic "Awesome " her way. "I'll look forward to seeing you thou " she hand me my clothes and turns to leave, but before walking out the door she looks back and smiles " I know you will,  but for now hurry , Edward is waiting for you on the car" she closes the door as I chuckle quickly getting ready, taking my bag and sprinting trough the halls to the exit where Ed is waiting. Before I get in I take a deep breath, "I'm ready."
