Prologue Russia

I stood there staring at the rows of bodies "Brothers For MotherLand RUSSIA!" The commander shouted... 1 hour earlier... "One man gets a rifle the other gets a handful of bullets... When the man with the rifle is shot the man with the bullets picks up the rifle and shots" the commander said. The arms sergeant can over to "sorry Yuri no more rifles" he said, my jaw dropped as he handed me my bullets "buts there's hardly enough for a magazine for a mosin rifle" I said to him "I know but its all we have left the Jerry's have been hard on us there is nothing and if this charge fails we go in with swords and if that fails we have our fists...and if that fails Stalingrad is lost and we fight on the plains and the hills till the Germans leave Russia we will not surrender" he said. I took his word for it Russia is like that "Squadron B you are not in this charge but the next, I was in B squadron so I was ok for now. I turned to my right a soldier stood there barely more than 12 "why are you here war is a mans job ( I would like to apologise now for any female soldiers as in this time period women were making bullets and bombs and weapons I know in Russia in ww2 this was not always the case but it is here) not a child's job" I said to him "I am fighting for my country sir" he replied "And I am proud of it" he snapped at me "ok ok then boy just a tip stay away from the bullets" I laughed as i said this "Squadron A has failed so squadron B it is your time...FOR MOTHERLAND RUSSIA COMRADES!!" The commander shouted. I started to charge towards the German lines, men were fall to the ground around me again I turned to my right... As I turned the boy hit the ground a bayonet was though him I saw the German soldier that did it he looked at me I punched him in the jaw he was no more than 16 and he was just waving his fists hoping to hit me, I swayed round his fist and hit him again he collapsed to the ground begging for mercy, I picked up his bag of equipment I looked inside there was a medal, two ammo clips for a masur German pistol, the pistol itself and a small bottle of vodka for warming then up in the Russian winter. I clipped the bag to my uniform "please sir don't kill me" the German said in Russian "I don't out of cold blood" I replied to him "I was forced to fight the Nazis are wrong they killed my father" he said poorly in bad Russian "Then you fight for Russia" I said handing him a rifle...
