"I need a latte! Like now!" I said that just as I arrived at my best friend's locker. School would be starting in about 15 minutes and I already wanted it to be done and over with. I wanted to go to club Mystery, party, have fun, and do stuff that would cause my mother to contemplate disowning me. Coffee would help with that.
"Haha. Don't we all. But why today?" inquired my friend, Ally.
"I have better things to do than conjugate ER verbs. Coffee is one of those things."
"How about Blake? Word is that your boyfriend plans on asking you for a dance tonight."
"A, Blake is not my BF-"
"But you wish that he was."
"B, everyone knows that he couldn't be less interested in me, and C he is taking his GIRLFRIEND to the club opening tonight. Not a girl that he has never looked at for more than 5 seconds at."
"Didn't you hear? He dumped Sierra yesterday. Said that there was a girl that he hasn't been able to get out of his head for the past month or so. And that it wasn't fair to her."
Oh. But wait. That just means that there is someone else. "But what makes you think that he likes me?"
"Cuz his best friend, my boyfriend, told me." That is a good point.
"No matter. We will find out tonight. Its not all that important." *cough* not true * cough* "So about that latte..."
"Angel give it up. Your not getting a latte until, at the earliest, lunch." Now come on. You have French to get to."
