Hidden Voices (Naruto Fanfiction) *OLD VERSION*

14: Assemblance

I slowly stood up and dusted off my shoulders, we still had a while before the bell goes off.

I went to find Naruto to ask to team up with him. I soon after found him upside down in a tree looking like a fish suffocating and struggling. Tetsuya looked at Naruto unimpressed (A/N: the dragon finally makes an appearance!) before looking at me and saying," Do you really want to work with him?"

I smiled and nodded before walking in front of Naruto. He looked at me and just, well... stared at me.

"Want any help?" I asked him. He shook his head at me.

"No! This trap was no problem for the future Hokage!" He exclaimed enthusiastically.

I grinned at him before saying,"Well... if you say so future hokage."

I knew he would say that so I was prepared, I had four of Tetsuya's blue scales ready to give to my team. I had put a genjutsu on the item so they might have a higher chance of working with me. (A/N don't know if you can actually do that so just go with it please)

I faced him and poked his forehead with a scale in my hand before it stuck to his forehead, almost like glue. This was the genjutsu's work as it needed to have contact with Naruto's skin to work. I moved a few steps back and waited.

*Naruto's P.O.V*

After she poked me in the forehead I heard a rustle in the bushes beside me. Sakura and Sasuke stepped out and walked up to Misuzu.

"So, is he going to work with us?" I heard Sakura say.

"No," Misuzu replied looking a little downcast at this fact. I felt a little guilty about this but a Hokage doesn't need help! They help their village, and thats what I'm doing! I'll help Sakura and Misuzu get a bell and then we'll pass together. Sasuke's on his own, it's not like he'd work with us anyway.

Sasuke looked at me and then shook his head," Hn, it's not like he could help much anyway." I was shaking in anger, of course I would be!!"Look at him, he fell for the most obvious trap ever and acts like he's the king of the world. Tch, idiot."

Sakura and Misuzu looked at him differently, one in awe and the other in shock.

"Wow Sasuke, that makes a lot of sense, Naruto wouldn't be able to work with our group anyway, he shouldn't even have a headband. He failed the exam and has an unhealthy obsession with ramen (A/N: *sits next to a pile of 50 empty ramen bowls* Hmm? You say something b*tch?), he couldn't join us, he'd only drag us down. Right Misuzu, Sasuke?... Uh, Misuzu, are you ok?"

I looked back to see Misuzu with her jaw dropped," The duck has spoken!... What were you on about again?"

Even I sweatdropped with the other two. Sasuke sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before giving her a brief summary of the conversation they just had.

"Oh.. I guess you're right," she said after pausing a while. My hope was diminished after that sentence, I thought she was my friend...

NO! I'm not useless, I can help them, of course I can! Believe it!

"NO I CAN HELP!" tears streamed from my eyes, as I said this," I'M GOING TO PROVE IT TO YOU! I'LL BE ONE OF THE BEST PEOPLE YOU'LL EVER WORKED WITH! YOU HEAR!"

I saw Sakura and Sasuke walking off. Where'd Misuzu go? I looked around and saw nothing then the rope holding me up broke and I fell to the ground.

In front of me was Misuzu asking me if I was ok, I nodded. Weird, I thought she left. It doesn't really matter anymore though.

"So... Whats the plan?"

*Misuzu's P.O.V*

I'm so glad my plan worked. Sasuke and Sakura next, ugh. I really don't want to work with them but unfortunately, my plan won't work without them.
