LYDIAS POV

After I left Kieran's house, I wandered the streets trying to figure out where to go. I ended up giving in and phoning my brother.

"Lydia?" His harsh tone told me he had just been sleeping, and unfortunately I'd been the one to wake him.

"Joe, can you come pick me up?" I sniffed.

"Yeah sure, are you crying Lyd? Cos if that Kieran guy has done anything I swear-"

I cut him off

"Look joe, it doesn't matter we can talk later"

"Fine where are you?"

"Rosburry street"

"Okay, I'll be there in like 15 minutes"

While I waited for joe I looked through all my messages and missed calls. There was a ton of missed calls from kieran. Macy had sent me an excited text telling me that her and Adele had become good friends with the boys so had moved in with them. I smiled to myself, at least someone was happy.

I looked up to see joes car approaching. Just as he got out to greet me I heard a strange noise from behind me. I slowly turned around and saw a wolf growling and baring it's teeth.

"Joe" I murmured

He looked at me and I pointed down to the wolf. His eyes widened.

"Lydia, slowly go to the car now." He whispered.

"But joe, what about y-"

"Get. In. The. Car. Now"

I nodded and slowly backed away, keeping my eyes glued to the wolf incase it decided to pounce. Once I reached the car I let out a breath that I didn't even realise I was holding. looking at joe, I could tell he was scared, but he tried not to show it. He started to slowly back towards the car. It all happened so fast. Suddenly the wolf was on top of him, and joe was lying on the ground, desperately trying to push it off, but at the moment the wolf was merely inches from his face. I ran out the car and tried to kick the wolf off him, but it was no use. I thought the wolf would have turned on me but it seemed fixated on hurting joe. Suddenly I remembered. joe had a survival kit in the boot of his car in case he ever broke down. I rummaged through the bag and eventually found what I was looking for. A knife. I didn't want to hurt the animal, but my brother means a lot to me. So I ran the knife along the back of the wolf. It thankfully got off joe, letting out a yelp of pain. Then it looked up at me for a few seconds, before running off into the darkness.

I couldn't get over it. I let myself fall to the ground against a wall. Those eyes. why did I recognize that wolves eyes? I had seen them before, they were so unique. I just couldn't put my finger on it.
