Chapter 20

 "Alright Luna this might hurt a bit." Kiku said to me as he held a needle in his hand.

   "Ok, oh I hate needles." I said and then closed my eyes. "Yeah I know what you mean. I don't like needles myself, and I'm a doctor!" Kiku laughed and then stuck the needle in to my back. "Oh ouch, it hurts, it hurts, IT HURTS!" I screamed as I pounded the operation table with my fist. "Sorry does it really hurt that bad?" 

  "Yes!" I said as I started to cry.

   "Sorry! Don't worry the drug to numb your back should kick in soon. Then we can start operating on your shoulder and back to remove the curse." Kiku replied.

 "Ok." Then surprising enough the drug started to kick in because I couldn't feel any pain in my back and shoulder.

 "OK so, does this hurt?" Kiku said as he flicked a spot on my back. "No." 

  "Good, so then does this hurt." as he flicked another part of my back. "No."

    "Good. that means we can start the operation. Can you please lay on your stomach?"

 "Sure."

    "All righty then, let's do this." So then I laid down on my stomach as Kiku started to work on removing the curse. First he took some water and put it on my back, and then started to manipulate it, to I guess start removing the curse.

 "I'll have to do this a couple of times." Kiku told me as he worked.

    "Ok. So how long will it take?"

       "About a couple of days."

  "Really?"

     "Yeah, doing this requires energy, and a lot of energy is put into removing this curse. I'll have to take many breaks in between so that I don't pass out."

   "Sounds tough."

"Well that's what being a healer in the water clan is all about."

"What do you mean?"

    "Well, some people in the water clan chose to be doctors and healers, and others use their abilities for other things. Like fighting the darkness faction or just doing house hold chores." 

  "Oh Ok, I get that."

 "Good to hear." Then right after Kiku had said that, a nurse came running into the room. "Kiku I'm sorry to interrupt you but there's an emergency. A person from the darkness faction has checked in. We need you to go find out why their here."

"Ok I'll be there in a minute."

  "Alright." The nurse said and then ran out of the room. Hearing the nurse say that made me  gulp and think, "Oh no Vlad."

"Hey uh Kiku?"

"Yes?" 

   "Why do they need you to see why the person is here?"

     "Because I'm the head doctor at this hospital and then darkness faction never use this hospital ever."

  "How come?"

      "They have their own hospital."

"Oh ok, so that would be the reason why you are going to see why they are here."

"Yes that would be the reason, I'll be back." Then Kiku grabbed his doctor's coat (he took it off so he could work easier on my back) and then put it on and then left the room. So I sat here and wondered, "How  come Vlad had to come to this hospital? Well I guess there must be a major reason why." Then I also wondered, "Did I hurt him that bad? I mean yeah I was mad at him, but I didn't know that I hurt him so bad that he has to be taken to the hospital." After that Kiku came rushing back into the room with a very terrified look on his face.
