You admired the way rain fell; sometimes graceful and beautiful and other times angry and loud. It was different each time and unpredictable also. In a way, it reminded you of him.
He was delicate yet strong, shy but outspoken, and sometimes obnoxious.
He was like your rain.

Gentle taps of rain hitting the window was all that could be heard in your apartment, aside from the occasional heavy breathing from your boyfriend. He rested his head on your lap as he dreamed, probably about something childish, letting out a deep chuckle every couple of minutes. You tried your best not to move or make a sound, not daring to wake up the sleeping boy.
Your thoughts swim in peaceful silence, leaving you to ponder about the Earth, stars and everything equally irrelevant. Somewhere in between wondering what you would do if aliens were to suddenly attack, your attention drifted back to the shifting giant in your lap.
