Chapter 10

I was sitting on the sofa waiting for Connor. While I've been sitting here I'm comparing myself to Chad. Am I like him? No! I mean, I really love Connor, I do. But what if he doesn't, what if he doesn't want a liar for a girlfriend?!

"Hi babe!" Connor says smiling at me.
"Look Connor I'm really sorry, I....." Connor doesn't let me finish and puts his fingers on my lips.
"No, hear me out! When you're with someone it means that you love him, trust him, never give up on him. I really love you, but I didn't tell you the truth. Maybe I'm becoming like my father and I get if you don't want to be with me anymore. Maybe I should go." I say heart broken.
"No, please don't go. I love you too. Nothing that you've done or will do will change my mind!" Connor says touching my hair. We kiss and lie down the bed together.

I really don't feel like I should be afraid of Connor. I shouldn't stay cold near him. But me and my dad can never be like we were before. I may love Connor, but he won't break my heart, but my dad has. I'll be careful around people I really need to be. Nobody breaks my heart anymore.

"Connor, how did you find out about my dad and Chad?" I ask him with my head on his chest.
"I'm a gang leader, I can find out a lot of things." He answers playing with my hair. I really like it when he plays with my hair! "I found out another thing except that, but I'll tell you tomorrow."
"Why, why don't you tell me now, what is it?!" I ask afraid. what did Connor know that I didn't?!
"Please, calm down, I'll tell you tomorrow." Connor answers and also starts telling me to sleep.

It was morning and Connor hadn't woken up yet. I couldn't stop thinking about what Connor said to me yesterday. What did he find out?

I put my hands through his hair and kiss him and he wakes up.

"Good morning!" We both say.
We eat breakfast together and sit on the sofa.
"Connor, what did you find out about me?" I ask. He put his head down and looks in a way that even he couldn't handle what he knows. "Connor you're scaring me! What is it?"
"Nikole......." He starts talking but then stops.
"Tell me!" I yell worried.
"Nikole..............you're adopted!"
"What! Connor are you feeling well, because that can't be true!" I say normally.
"It is true Nikole, I'm sorry but it is!" Connor says hugging me. Can it be true?! It would make sence because I really don't look alike my parents or brother.

I didn't believe this easily so Connor shows me everything he had found about me. There were so many facts that proved I'm adopted. It's true! I take my jacket and leave the house.
"See you soon Connor!" I yell to him.

I knock at the door and my dad opens it.
"Why do you keep lying to me? Seriosly, are you a gang leader, or a liar?! How can you do this to your daughter? Oh sorry, I said daughter!" I yell to my dad pushing him.
"We're so sorry Nikole! We always wanted to tell you but........" Mom starts saying but Tomas interrupts her: "We're sorry, please don't cry, don't feel bad, we're really sorry!"
"Did you just say CRY? Nobody breaks my heart anymore! You all please, don't worry about me, because I never felt myself as a part of this family anyway!" I replie angry.

After I say this words my dad was just about to slap me, again. I was so mad I block his slap, punch him and kick him in the stomach.
"Oh and by the way dad, I hope you learned that I'm not a little girl!" I yell as I leave. Well I always thought that I hated my family, but I don't, because they are not my family.

I call Connor and tell him what happened. He comes and we walk together to our place.

I couldn't stop saying how much I hate my family until he hugs me and says: "You shouldn't hate them. They raised you."
"Well of course, they raised me with lies!" I replie as I hug him harder. "Connor, is Chad the leader of the second strongest gang?"
"Well, after you left Chad became the leader of the first strongest gang. But you father took him down again. But instead of giving you the good news I told you the bad one. Me and my gang took Chad's one down. I'm the leader of the second strongest gang!"
"Well you become the leader lf the first strongest gang too, I can feel it." I say happily as I hug and kiss him at the same time.
"You really want me to take your father's gang down?!" Connor asks.
"Yes"

We arrive at our place and then sleep.
