'He swept the loose strands of hair behind my left ear. leaning in close to my face. His breath hit my hair in out warm embrace "Time to wake-up now, kiddo." he pulled back and smiled, slowly fading away. I tried so hard to hold on to him for just a moment longer, but I knew to well from the many times before.'
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The loud beeping sound pulled me out of my dreaming trance, the only time I can see my him; my Daddy. He committed suicide when I was 10, leaving me with my mother and older brother Joseph. its been 6 years since then. My brother is 24 and single, just finishing college in New Brunswick. I miss him, both my mom and I do. Right after dad died he left and I was broken. all I could do was pick my self up, wipe myself off and carry on, and that's exactly what I did.
BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP!
The 10 minute warning alarm pulled me out of my thoughts. I peeled the warm blankets off of myself, exposing my skin to the cool air around me. I yawned rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, while staggering over to my bathroom. "DAAMMN!" I look a zombie! I turned the warm water on and stripped down. I got in letting the water beat down on my sun kissed skin. I shaved my legs and then rinsed off all the soap. I dried myself off and blow dried my hair. I brushed my long dark chocolate colored hair than straitened it to perfection.
I went down to the main floor and opened the fridge. Realizing the time I grabbed an apple , put on my white vans and keys, then headed out the door. A purple 2014 MG TF Roadster pulled up in the driveway. Alice. Alice and I met in the 2nd grade. we instantly became best friends...after she stole my animal crackers.
"Heloooo lovely!" she greeted me happily, getting out of her car. then......then I got scared. the large grin plastered her face. oh.no"whaaat?" she pulled out two boxes from her pink book bag."your not going to school today. she said simply. "oh, and why is this?" I questioned. "I.." she showed me a box of hair dye "am going to give you a make over" she finished.
I griped my hair. My baby. 9 years of growing my hair out is not going to fry over blonde hair. "over my dead body" I said between clenched teeth. I sprinted into the house, running up the stairs and locked myself into my bedroom. "NOOO..YOU AND YOU BOX WILL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!" I shouted so she was aware that this simply would not happen.

I no longer stand my grounds. I gave in. But she was reasonable, were only going to ombre it.
"My masterpiece is finished!" She said mocking an announcers voice. I opened my eyes one at a time looking in the mirror.... "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU...
