"Kitten, let's go. I thought you wanted to get up early."
I groan and roll away from Ciel, why did I decide to wake up early again? "Go away! I want to sleep longer."
Ciel chuckles, "Kitten~"
He's suddenly whispering in my ear and I shiver. "Ciel, let me sleep."
It goes silent and I roll over and gasp, as I rolled right into Ciel, he chuckles again, "Did I disturb you?"
I groaned again and finally decide to just coax him into sleeping longer soooo.
I wrap my arms around his torso and jump on him so I'm laying on his stomach and chest, I straddle him and lay my head in the crook of his neck. He gasps, "Now what are you doing?"
I giggle, "Sleeping."
He snorts, "By laying on me? Why did you want to wake early if you weren't going to get up?"
I only hum and snuggle closer, he may be a demon, but he's surprisingly warm. "You're warm."
He chuckles and my breathing evens out, the last thing I remember before falling asleep again is Ciel wrapping his arms around my waist and I feel myself smile softly.
Later~
When I wake up, I yawn and notice I'm in the bed alone. Meany! He left me... I untangle myself from my sheets and groggily drag myself to the window, we arrived here at some point last night, but I fell asleep half way here, I don't even remember being brought up nor being changed, at that thought I quickly look down and see I'm in a white silk nightgown, the sleeves extending a little past my wrists, and the fabric a little above my knees, the collar sits just below my collar bones, one side slipping off my shoulder.
Meh, I've worn much girlier. I rub my eyes and look in the mirror, noticing instead of the terrifying red, my eyes are now their normal bright blue, though, sadly my hair is still a silky raven black. I stumble towards the door still not quite awake and open it quietly.
It seems we're in a house between a mansion and a condo. I walk quietly through the halls, my feet more graceful and quiet than usual, it was quite eerie. "Kitten? I'm glad you finally woke to join us."
I turn hearing Ciel's sweet voice. I frown in a pout and he raises an eyebrow questioningly, "What is it?"
"You just left me! What if a bad guy swooped in and stole me because he thought I was you?!"
Ciel laughs, "I'm sorry Kitten, but you're a demon remember? I doubt he'd get very far, and I would never let that happen."
I pout a little longer before sighing in defeat, "Fiiinnnee, I'm not mad anymore, you're forgiven."
Ciel raises an amused brow before lifting his hands towards me, "Come, let's have breakfast."
I laugh and take his hands, he surprises me by jerking me forward and I gasp as I fall into his chest, he leans down and his breath tickles my ear as he whispers, "Do you really think I would let you go? Hmmm, maybe I should discipline you next time you have such thoughts."
I blink, then blink again, I feel heat creep up my neck and all the way to my ears, I thought demons couldn't blush?? Ciel chuckles before steadying me and turning on his heels his hands held lightly behind his back as he gracefully started walking away, "Come, we have breakfast then a busy afternoon."
I pout as I poke at my food, Ciel and Sebastian smirking at me and giving each other knowing glances. Sebastian clears his throat before smiling sweetly, "Is something wrong with your food, Kitten?"
I frown before looking down and ignoring him, childish I know, but there's not much I can really do as it's impolite to leave the table without eating, so I'll just sulk. Ciel chuckles, "Do you not like what was served? Perhaps another dish then?" He looks to Sebastian who is smirking.
As he turns to leave I sigh, "No, the dish is fine."
Sebastian returns to his place beside Ciel, and I take a bite, I notice Sebastian doesn't eat human food, though he could, surprisingly the food tastes as it was when I was human, so I eat it as I normally would a little shocked that it still tasted as I remembered. Though I soon consume to my curiosity, "Sebastian, the food tastes the same as it did when I was human, why is that?"
Sebastian gives me a confused look, "Pardon?"
I clear my throat embarrassed that both of them are now looking at me with furrowed brows, "I said the food tastes the same, why is that?"
Sebastian frowns before looking to Ciel who only shakes his head. Sebastian ponders my inquiry for a few moments before speaking again. "I've heard of demons still possessing some of their human abilities, such as, taste and emotions. It seems that both you and young master still have your human emotions."
Ciel rolls his eyes and I let out a relieved sigh, "At least I'm not another experiment gone wrong."
Ciel's eyes soften, "Do not think like that James, no one sees you that way, ever."
I look down as I feel my cheeks heat up, and quickly change the subject, "How long is this vacation if you don't mind me asking, I want to know how much time I have to explore."
Ciel stares a few seconds longer, pondering on whether or not to continue the previous conversation, and to my relief, he let's it go. "As long as we want I suppose, Sebastian?"
Sebastian smiles politely, "The queen said to take as much time as needed, this is her gift for putting you both through the previous situation and to let Kitten heal properly."
Ciel nods in satisfaction, and I feel my stomach inflate with delight, "This is going to be so much fun! We need to explore! I can't wait, I've always wanted to experience a vacation with someone close to me!"
Ciel and Sebastian both look at me with sympathetic eyes, but I choose to ignore them and not let them dampen my mood, quickly finishing my food, I thank Sebastian and grab Ciel, dragging him to our room so we could grab the things we needed for our little adventure. As I was going through some shoes to wear so my feet wouldn't get sore I didn't notice Ciel sneak up behind me, he grabbed me around the waist lightly and pulled me up against him, his warm breath that smelt of tea tickinling my neck. We just stood there neither of us saying a word, I knew this wasn't normal, friends definitely don't act like this around eachother, but I couldn't help but hoping that this meant we were closer than friends, we were left in a comfortable silence enjoying each others presence and body heat. Ciel was first to break the silence in a soft whisper, "Kitten what are you feeling right now?"
My cheeks flush for what feels like the hundredth time this morning, "How I feel? Well, um, I guess I'm happy, and I really like being around you."
Ciel hums in response, "What about you?" I ask.
He chuckles lightly, "Hmm. I'd have to say, out of everyone I know, you're the one I hold closest to my heart, and whenever you're away to long, it feels as if the last of my will to live has disappeared."
I suck in a breath, not expecting such a heart felt answer from him, I honestly didn't think he had it in him to be so sincere and put so much emotion into his words, he's never really shown emotion. I lean my head back and rest it on his shoulder as he started to sway, "You know, I've never really be one to be known as happy, I always found myself wondering why I was even here, why I existed, but now, I feel as if I truly have somewhere to belong, and it seems as if I'm always happy, and I love it."
He doesn't say anything but finally kisses my cheek, surprising me, he pulls away quickly and acting casually he smirks, "Now let's go on an adventure."
