After taking Lucas home, Austin and I went back to his house. Both of his parents were at work, and his older sister was out running errands so we decided to put in a movie. We had rented 'You're Next' off of his TV in his room.
"That's got to be one of the dumbest movies ever invented." Austin said turning onto his side, while he nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck. I laughed as he took my hand and intertwined it with his as he rested them on my stomach.
"So what did you think? You haven't said anything..." Austin mumbled looking up at me.
"I agree... I thought it was pretty stupid." Pause... "Do you feel that way though? Am I a bitch to you?" I asked, that line had really stuck with me through out the night.
He sat up and pulled me up into his lap. "No babe, no don't think that. You're so cute and don't listen to anything Lucas says. I love you, baby..." Austin reassured me. He kissed me on the cheek and I laid back on the mattress with him holding me tight.
"I just wish your best friend and I could get along. I mean, just as friends of course." I said before biting my lip.
Austin stared into my eyes and pushed back some of my bangs that were falling into my eyes.
"No matter what, I promise to you Paige Marie Roberts, Lucas will never pull us apart. No matter what he says or does, you're mine. That is one thing that will never change." Austin said, pulling my body up so I could straddle him.
He laid on his back, looking up at me. "Now come down here and kiss me." He said, before I laid myself down on him.
We made out for a good half an hour. Through out it we smiled and giggled and he tickled me a lot just to make me feel better. He was always good at that. He was always my rock. The safe shelter I could take cover in on my hardest days. I didn't want him to go away for college...not ever.
"You know what, screw the party. I have the party right here." Austin said, making me smile.
"Are you sure hun?" I asked. " I don't want to ruin your fun. I mean it's our last high school party technically. You'd rather stay here with me?" I asked, sitting up on him again.
"Yes because I don't have too much time to spend with you before I leave for college, and anyway, we both know we'll have more fun here." He said, grabbing both my hands. He intertwined our fingers.
He pulled one of my hands to his mouth and kissed it.
"One day, you are going to have a ring right here from me. I promise you, Paige." Austin said before kissing my ring finger.
"Pinky promise?" I asked. Some people could've thought that a pinky promise meant nothing. But to me, being here with Austin, after he had just said that... It meant everything.
