"I know Omari," I cut his sentence short. "It's just that I want to show her how much I've accomplished because before everything happened, she always pushed me, always believed in me, and now I just want to show her I'm a success." Anytime I talk or think about my grandmother, anguish and heartache always consumed my well-being.
"Is this something you really want to do?"
I sighed. It's either now or never. "Yeah, even though I'm feeling a little apprehensive about it." Omari took my hands into his and looked deep into my eyes.
"Well, I'll be right there with you through everything." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in for a hug. He wrapped his hands around my waist, returning the hug, then pulled away to kiss me sweetly.
"I love you, Mrs. Grandberry," he whispered.
I chuckled at his corniness. "I love you too, Mr. Grandberry."
At least I know one person truly does.
