Oceans can kill,
With stormy seas,
Like a nasty devil,
From the deep abyss. The drought was worse,
The water never came,
The people dying of thrist,
It was never the same.Nothing's left to do,
But the girl of Zaida,
A dying place to outdo,
She ought to defy a law.Journey to the edge,
For days and on cue—
She smelled the salty air,
As the sea breeze blew."I'm so stupid!"
Slapping her face,
"How can I do this?"
Gripping her hair with disgrace.Invoking the sea,
Praying to come back,
For the people and she,
To end this bad luck.Tried to plead the water,
But no small response,
No hope and more suffer,
But then she had a plan!Digging from day to night,
A makeshift canal she made,
"Why won't it incline?"
The water seem to betray.A sudden rush and gush and bliss,
The water obeyed to move,
The canal was short—she didn't notice,
Still, the water flowed.©PeculiarPat34
Dedicated to a dear supporter of mine, H_J_Kim, thank you so much for supporting me and my book. 😊😊😊 And to all of you (both peculiars and normals) as well.
I know that this is quite short—the story I mean—and a bit creepy (for me) and Zaida is a made up place, I didn't know where I got it but it sounds cool and remember when I said I'll make a short story for it? 😉
Have a nice day!
