No... goths and emos are NOT the same thing. I have seen many YouTube videos on Gothic makeup and a lot of them say 'emo Gothic' make up. Some actually say "emo or Goth makeup" which gives impression that they don't even know different in each culture (I'm just gonna call them culture) Many of us have seen 'normal' people refere to goths as emo or emo as goths. May be true that these cultures have some similar styles and attitudes but please take the time to learn that they are nother the same, although not to confuse, like myself we mix up but we know the difference between them. If you already know the difference and want to be just emo or goth then here is a little guide. If you want to be both its absolutely OK to . But here is a little background information.

Depressed people who wear black, listen to scream music, harm themselves, are really weird, and have unwashed hair that covers their face....
What an 'emo' really is:
We can see many emo cringes on how they feel or the things they do. Some are depressed , but there are more people out there who are no where close to emo and are much more depressed. As for wearing all black, not all emos where black. Some use colorful rainbow colors (and no not because bi or gay). Some emos actually like to style themselves. Emo hair is actually super amazing and is art I think. It takes special skill to style, manage, and maintain. But more about this topics and makeup in next chapters cx. Although emo people do have the reputation of self harm it's still is definitely not right to think that way about them. Many people drink and do drugs hurting themselves in more ways. And no, all emos don't do drugs. But more on this topic will up.
