Asher led me to the reception, his hand gripping mine tightly. He was mine, officially and legally mine. He'd stolen my heart but I'd stolen his last name as cheesy as that might sound.
Opening  the door and  I gasped from shock. "Ash, your mum has out done herself this time." He just shrugged, grinning at the scene. About 2 dozen circle tables stood scattered around a pure white room, each table covered in a light blue table cloth. Hanging from the ceiling were four  chandeliers, each one emitting a red light. And towards the back was the cake. Three-layers of delicious sponge and each layer with a chain of skittles at the base (Asher's idea.)
"Yeah, she really has."
Asher took my hand and pulled me to the dance floor. "May I have this dance, Mrs. Reed?" I nodded, not being able to control the fireworks of excitement within my stomach. He wrapped his arm around my waist and we began moving to the nonexistent music.
"I can't believe you turned out to be real." I admitted. "I'm still waiting to wake up and see it was all a dream."
"Me too. I can't believe you said yes." He spun my around and tilted me backwards, giving me about 4 seconds to let what he said sink in. "Why wouldn't I?" He stayed quiet his perfectly blue eyes filled with thought. At that moment the doors swung open, showing a pink Mia and even pinker Zack standing next to Ever. "Hey! There you two love birds are." Zack exclaimed, causing Asher to let go of my hand and pull a smirk. The other guests started filling the room and Asher and I took our places at the 'immediate family and close friends' table and finding their way to a table towards the back was Brody and  a girl he met in collage called Amber clinging to his arm. I guess he got over me eventually. Brody meets my eye and gives a halfhearted smile, mouthing 'congrats' before looking away.

"And now the bride and groom will share their first dance."
Asher led me to the dance floor for the second time and wrapped his arm around my waist almost protectively. "It's actually our fourth dance." He whispered as the music started. The song, which fitted our story almost perfectly, was 'just give me a reason' by pink. We swayed slowly to the music, my stomach doing back flips and my heart racing at 100 mph. Asher began singing, although quiet and soft, to the song making me grin like mad. "I love you, birdie." He said quietly making me feel  like a rocket took off in my heart. "I love you too. " The song comes to a close and I feel someone pull on my arm, I look to a see a brooding Brody clinging to my arm like Ever used to. "May I have this dance?" He asked, his eyes fixed on Asher's not mine. My husband nodded and went back to the table to sit with Ever and Victoria. "Hey Brody bear." I said harmlessly. He looked right into my eyes, his are filled with sorrow and yet he smirks. "You and Reed finally tied the knot?" He said, swaying me to the music. I nodded, my mind blank for anything to say. "Remember that day when I told you I liked you?" I nodded again, remembering it like it had happened only moments before instead of years. "Did you ever get over it?" I asked, the words leaving me mouth like a weight off of my shoulders. "I don't think fully. No." He answered. I felt my heart sink. He wasn't over me, I had a feeling but I'd always put it to the back of my mind. "Brody I'll say to you now what I did back then. I like you, a lot. But as a friend. You're going to make someone very happy and I think we both know it can't be me." We both smiled at the repeat of my words. "What about that girl, Amber?" I asked as he tipped me back. "I like her a lot." He answered truthfully. "But I wanted to tell you that I don't think I ever fully got over you before asking her to be my girlfriend." My smile widened and I lent up and kissed his cheek. "I'm proud of you Brody. You might not want to admit it but you did get over me. Amber is proof of that." He simply shrugged then left me on the dance floor, feeling slightly dazed. "He's going to make her very happy. Very happy indeed."
