Three weeks later...

~Jazmine~

The bell rings and Tony smiles at me slightly.

"I'll be in sixth period to continue lesson." He pats the desk lightly before going to his classroom. I adjust the glasses on my face before standing up and grabbing the first book, the one where I had found the message about a year ago that changed everything. I set the book down by the ELMO camera which was connected to a projector and wait for everyone to file into class.

"So, we are gaging toward the end of this story. Marie Jeanne and Marcelo have forged the pike meant to kill le bête, who we now know is Sebastian, Marie Jeanne's older brother. As of now, they are waiting for the next full moon to take their plan into action." I pause. "Can anyone tell me the what the pike was forged with?" Hands raise in the air. "Beth." She didn't have her hand up, instead she was biting on her nail, which the skin around it was black with a little bit of silver. She looks down at the floor and mutters something before getting up and walking out. "Everyone stay seated, I'll be back." I follow her out to the bathroom and raise an eyebrow. She looks at me with fear in her eyes.

"You're one of them aren't you?" She whispers.

"That depends, if you're one of them." I say.

"I don't kill them, or bite them. I don't like watching people die." Tears form in her eyes.

"Look, I'll make you deal. If you don't tell anyone about me, and don't bite anyone, I'll give you the cure and you can be a normal teenager again." I whisper.

"Deal. I'll take it." She nods.

"I'll be watching." I state. "Come on, let's go back to class."

"Wolfsbane, mistletoe, her blood and the light of the full moon." She says. I furrow my eyebrows. "That's the answer to the question you asked." I smile and nod.

"Come on."

I sit down in front of my mirror and sigh. I take off the makeup I wore to school and put on a whole new face. Douglas asked Selene on a date, so this is what it boils down to. Jake and I are both unhappy about this. I change into a tighter fitting dress and change heels. I fix my lipstick and loosely curl the blonde wig. I get up and grab Selene's purse before walking out to the Suburban. I drive into Forks toward the restaurant Anthony said to meet him at. I park next to his red Ford escape and roll my eyes before stepping out of the vehicle and getting into character. I check my appearance in the side mirror quickly as he rounds the front of my vehicle.

"Might I say that you look ravishing." He greets kissing my hand.

"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself." I smile at him.

"Shall we?" He gestures toward the restaurant. I nod in reply and we walk toward the door. "Ladies first." He smiles holding open the door.

"Thank you." I walk through and he follows. He gives the hostess his name and she leads us to the reserved table. I look around and take in the surroundings. The walls were a beautiful shade of maroon, dimish chandeliers hung from the ceilings thought the room, the floor was dark chestnut wood, it was truly an amazing venue. Who I was with and who I am is what made it not so amazing. The night went on with cheep small talk, delicious (also extremely expensive) food, and even just a little of his personal life and some of Selene's made up back story. If I wasn't mistaken, I'd say he was starting to grow attached to Selene.
