Chapter 8 - Dr. Flirty
Sang's POV:
I was sitting in Mr. Jeral's spare office, contemplating. Although I may not be sure what exactly I was contemplating, I knew I had to be contemplating something. It had been two hours since Karen, North and I went to the campus pool.
I glanced at the clock that was hung above the door. Clever. If the students can't see the clock, they won't get antsy about leaving and won't know how much time has passed.
It was almost one o'clock now, the time that North should have been in my office. Even though I was 99% certain he wouldn't come, I still felt as though I should be in the office, doing as Mrs. Godisle and Mr. Jeral asked of me. At least I could tell them that I tried. I hadn't told Mrs. Godisle about how I plan to treat North. I don't think she really cares as long as he's calmer afterward. I could almost hear her say,"Oh, you sweet girl, it doesn't matter!" My lips twitched at the thought.
Since I was supposed to have North here for half an hour every day, I supposed I could leave at one-thirty.
But what to do until then?
I ended up pulling out a book and settling into the small couch in the office after opening the window.

When I unlocked the door to my apartment, I heard Karen talking inside. A smile appeared on my face. I was happy she felt at home. "I'm home!" I called out.
I heard a vague "Hey Sang!" in reply then more murmurings. Karen was probably on the phone with someone. Setting my bag down, I plopped into my office chair and sighed.
After logging into Minecraft for some real gaming, I ended up clicking on Blackbourne World. The last time I was here, MusicalFire had taught me the Redstone tricks he knew. I wondered if I would have some free time to actually start on my house here.
Ten minutes into the game, I had my outline and foundation done when a message appeared in the chat box.
FlirtyDoctor: O-man! Help me! Something's wrong with my hospital!
ViolinPerfectionist: O-man? What is the meaning of this ridiculous name? Do you mean to call me?
ViolinPerfectionist: Why are we conversing through technology when we are currently in the same residence?
My eyes were wide, unbelieving. There were other people here! Other new people, I hadn't met!
ViolinPerfectionist: Dr. Flirty, your hospital is on fire. It would be wise if you went and put it out instead of snooping around my mansion.
Wait just a second. ViolinPerfectionist said that the hospital is on fire. Does that mean the burning white building next to me was the hospital?
FlirtyDoctor: I'm not snooping around in your mansion, I'm just...visiting.
FlirtyDoctor: Wait...WHAT? Why didn't you tell me sooner?!
I giggled lightly, my hand pulling up to brush back my bangs. Their banter was amusing. But what I didn't understand was why I didn't get a notification that they logged into the world. Or if they were here before me, why didn't they comment on a foreign person joining in? Did they just not care? Either way, I felt obligated to help FlirtyDoctor put out the fire in his hospital. After all, it wouldn't be a problem since I was right next to it.
Grabbing a couple of water buckets, I strategically splashed them to get most of the fire out. I was thankful that FlirtyDoctor had decided to build his hospital out of quartz blocks instead of wood. After the fire was put out and all the buckets of water were in my inventory, I took a good look at the recently burnt hospital. FlirtyDoctor was right. There was definitely something off with the design. The building seemed like it was leaning or misshaped. How I had no idea.
